Barcelona will try to keep defending champion Real Madrid from matching their record for Spanish Super Cup titles when the rivals face off in Sunday's final in Saudi Arabia. Barcelona, who have 13 Supercopa trophies, reached the final by beating Real Betis in a penalty shootout after a 2-2 draw on Thursday. Real Madrid, who won their 12th title by beating Athletic Bilbao 2-0 in last year's final, also prevailed on penalties after a 1-1 stalemate with Valencia on Wednesday. This is the second edition of El Clasico this season, with Real beating their bitter rivals 3-1 at the Bernabeu in October. Barcelona won the previous two editions and sit atop La Liga's table, three points ahead of reigning champ Real Madrid.

Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET at King Fahd International Stadium. Barcelona are +123 favorites (risk $100 to win $123) on the 90-minute money line in Caesars Sportsbook's latest Real Madrid vs. Barcelona odds. Real are +215 underdogs, a draw is priced at +250 and the over/under for total match goals is set at 2.5. Why you should back Barcelona

The Blaugrana have returned to dominance since Robert Lewandowski joined the team from Bayern Munich. He scored the initial goal in Thursday's match to give him 19 in 21 overall matches  Ansu Fati scored in extra time, but Real Betis was able to get an equalizer. As is typical, Barcelona dominated possession, holding the ball for 61% of the match. They lead La Liga in averaging almost 65%, with midfielders like Frenkie de Jong, captain Sergio Busquets and Pedri probing for any holes in the defense. Barcelona have scored 35 goals in league play, second to Real, but have only conceded six.

Real have been struggling, losing two of their past four league matches, while Barca come in with confidence off a big 1-0 victory against Atletico last weekend. The back line has been really tough to crack, with Ronald Araujo, Jules Kounde and Andreas Christensen helping hold the line in front of Marc-Andre ter Stegen. The German goalkeeper has 12 clean sheets in 16 matches and also leads the league in save percentage (88.9).

Why you should back Real Madrid

Los Blancos have won six of the past eight meetings and lead the overall series 101-52-97. They got goals from Karim Benzema, Federico Valverde and Rodrygo to beat Barca in the October matchup. Benzema's return from injury to join Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo ahead of a loaded midfield makes Real tough to stop. Benzema scored his 10th goal in 15 matches this season in Wednesday's draw with Valencia. Vinicius has 10 goals in all competitions, and Real Madrid leads La Liga with 36 goals. Rodrygo, Benzema and Vinicius all rank in the top six in La Liga in total shots, combining for 122.

Valverde has scored eight goals and added four assists overall. He features along with Toni Kroos in a midfield led by talisman Luka Modric. Modric (five goals, two assists) and Kroos (four assists) are veteran playmakers. Kroos leads La Liga in touches (1,211), passes into the final third (180), and Modric's vision helps him get the ball to teammates with space to work.
