Report: AC Milan to pull off transfer shocker, sign Juventus superstar Bonucci
It's a massive move by Milan and a shocker from Juve
In by far the most shocking transfer of not only this summer, but also potentially the last decade, Juventus has agreed to sell superstar defender Leonardo Bonucci to AC Milan for $39.9 million, according to Sky Sports Italia. It's a massive move by Milan, revitalized due to what is seemingly a bottomless pit of transfer funds under new Chinese ownership.
The move gives Milan arguably the best central defender in all of world soccer for a price that is just about half of where most likely value him. Juventus must feel good about its players in place to sell him to a direct rival, considering they probably could have gotten more for him from Chelsea.
It's a transfer that has sent shock waves through world soccer and one that will be questioned for quite a while. AC Milan gets its rock in defense for what is a very low fee, and now it's Juve's turn to transform those funds into squad-strengthening players.
