Report: Zlatan Ibrahimovic could miss the remainder of the Manchester United season
Zlatan suffered a knee injury in Thursday's Europa League semifinal vs. Anderlecht
Manchester United's quest for Champions League qualification and their run in the Europa League look to have taken a potentially huge blow.
According to Sky Sports, star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic will likely miss the remainder of the season after he was injured in Thursday's Europa League quarterfinal second leg against Anderlecht, which United won 2-1.
The Swedish striker was subbed off after hyperextending his knee.
If United is without their best player, it may just fall short of a Champions League spot qualification. United's clearest path is winning the Europa League, where it plays Celts Vigo in the semis. But United without Ibra just is not the same, as it doesn't boast another lethal striker in attack that can change a game with little help.
We'll have more to come on this story as it develops.
