Saturday is quite a time for the United States men's national team as they'll welcome Jesse Marsch and Canada into Kansas City. While Marsch was involved in the USMNT managerial search in the past ahead of Gregg Berhalter's second spell in charge of the side, he has moved past that now and is laser focused on defeating the USMNT.

While awaiting the expected arrival of Mauricio Pochettino as the next manager of the USMNT, Mikey Varas will be the interim manager during this international window, but his goal is still clear. Remove the bad taste of a group stage exit at Copa America from their mouths and win. With those opposing views clashing, Kansas City could be the site of quite a match.

Here's our storylines, how you can watch the match and more.

Storylines

United States: With Varas only as an interim manager, this squad can't look too far ahead, but it's something that they're used to by now. Winning the 2022-23 Concacaf Nations League under interim manager B.J. Callaghan and also going through the 2023 Gold Cup under Anthony Hudson, the USMNT have spent more time in the past two years under an interim manager than a permanent one. While that will come to an end soon players know the expectation is to win as Pochettino will be watching.

Canada: Folliwg Copa America success, now is the time for the Canucks to show that their approach is a sustainable one. Considering the two sides, they're more stable footing than the USMNT but it won't matter if it doesn't turn into victories. In order to become the top team in Concacaf, Canada needs to be able to consistently defeat the United States and Mexico, something that's a clear goal of this international window.

Prediction

Despite the managerial picture being in flux, this is still a talented United States squad that will get the job done and defeat Canada. Pick: United States 2, Canada 1
