The United States Men's National Team begins its quest to reach the 2022 World Cup with a marquee matchup against El Salvador on Thursday. Team USA had an extremely successful summer, winning both the Gold Cup and CONCACAF Nations League. El Salvador, meanwhile, is winless in its last three matches and suffered a 6-0 setback the last time these two teams met in December of 2020. The match will air on CBS Sports Network and you can also stream the match live on Paramount+.

Thursday's contest gets underway at 10:05 p.m. ET at Estadio Cuscatlan in San Salvador, El Salvador. Team USA is the -200 favorite (risk $200 to win $100) on the 90-minute money line in the latest USMNT vs. El Salvador odds from Caesars Sportsbook. El Salvador is a +500 underdog and a draw is +270. The over-under for total goals is 2.5. This match will be streamed live on Paramount+ with their must-have Premium plan.

Before you tune in to Thursday's matchup, you need to see the USMNT vs. El Salvador picks from international soccer insider Martin Green. After working in the sports betting industry for several years, Green became a professional sports writer and handicapper and has covered the game worldwide. Since then, his European soccer picks have been spot-on. Green has generated over $36,000 for $100 bettors since the 2017-18 season, and he has his finger on the pulse of the game all over the globe.

For USA vs. El Salvador, Green is predicting the USMNT to win on the 90-minute money line (-200). The USMNT will enter Thursday's contest full of confidence after winning their last nine contests across all competitions. Team USA has been able to secure those positive results thanks in large part to their strong defensive play. In fact, the USMNT has recorded a shutout in each of their last four contests, which includes a 1-0 victory over Mexico in the Gold Cup Final.

El Salvador has struggled to find the back of the net in its most recent outings, scoring just two goals in its last three matches.

"Defensive solidity has been a hallmark of the USMNT's approach this summer," Green told SportsLine. "It only conceded one goal in six games at the Gold Cup, and that was a penalty in a 6-1 group stage victory over Martinique... El Salvador has some dangerous attackers, but they may not enjoy many chances, as Gregg Berhalter's men should dominate possession in this game and keep things tight in defense."
