It hasn't been a bright start to the new season for Paulo Fonseca and Milan. The new manager drew with Torino in his opening Serie A match and went behind to newly promoted side Parma only two minutes in in their second match of the season on Saturday. But Christian Pulisic came to the rescue, scoring a crucial equalizer for Milan as they chased, drawing them level in the 66th minute. Assisted by Rafael Leao, Pulisic's goal has been a reward for an excellent day in the attack.

It was a poachers finish for Pulisic as no one picked up his run into the box and Leao knew just where to find him. Pulisic also has four chances created and two shots in the match, as of the time of the goal, showing his importance. After scoring 12 Serie A goals for the club last season, he's picking up right where he left off. Able to play on the wings, centrally or even as a false striker, Pulisic's versatility makes him tough to track in the box.
There's still more work that needs to be done for Milan, especially in defense. The team wasted Pulisic's goal, conceding again in the 77th minute, but this is a a team that will go as far as Pulisic can take them. In only his second season with Milan, Pulisic's importance has grown by the day as he's settling into life in Italy quite well. He won't be satisfied with just the goal as there's a winning goal for Milan to find and they're running out of time to secure it in this away match against Parma.
