It took just a few minutes for Real Madrid to take control of the Champions League final against Atletico Madrid. It took a little longer for the score to reflect Real Madrid's opening dominance. Not that much longer, though -- just 15 minutes.
In the 15th minute, Real Madrid struck thanks to a timely flick by Gareth Bale and some awful defending by Atletico Madrid. Sergio Ramos, in all alone, redirected Bale's header into the net.

However, the goal did come with some controversy, as it appears as if Ramos was just a hair offside. Take a look:

Outside of the controversy, it's no surprise Real Madrid got on board first, because just minutes earlier, they nearly scored on a free kick. They were turned aside on the goal line by Atletico goalkeeper Jan Oblak, though.

Atletico Madrid probably should've practiced defending set pieces. Otherwise, they'll lose their chance to win their first ever Champions League title.
