Chelsea continued to dominate the Premier League with a 3-0 win on Saturday against Leicester City, pushing its lead atop the table to seven points.

But you may have noticed, the Blues did it without star striker Diego Costa, who wasn't even in the squad. Why, you ask? Well, let's take a look.

Chinese offer

According to The Telegraph, a huge offer for Costa came in from China. He has since stated that he isn't interested in leaving and then posted his support for Chelsea on Instagram.

Come on Chelsea!!!💙

Now, it doesn't appear like the Chinese offer had really anything to do with him being dropped, but we'll see. Keep in mind, Chelsea is one of the clubs that has most dealt with the Chinese Super League, seeing Oscar, John Obi Mikel and Ramires leave London for the league.

Getting into it with coach

The reason he wasn't in the squad appears to be because of an argument. According to ESPNFC, Costa, who has 14 goals this campaign, got into a heated argument with a fitness coach at the club over an injury before Conte got involved and decided to punish the player.

He had been training by himself and didn't make the trip to King Power Stadium on Saturday. Maybe it was a suspension for one match from the club?

If it were injury related, wouldn't the club have announced it? A bit strange.

What's next?

Chelsea returns to action against Hull City next week. Whether he returns to the squad soon or if something really is up remains to be seen. If you take his Instagram message, you have to feel that it is nothing major.

Remember, this is a guy who tends to overreact.
