On Friday, a new era begins for the United States men's national team. New head coach Mauricio Pochettino will be unveiled in New York City as the next permanent leader of the squad after Gregg Berhalter was fired following the Copa America. Pochettino will reunite with U.S. Soccer sporting director Matt Crocker after the duo worked together at Southampton, and they'll map out the road to the 2026 World Cup on home soil.

After a disappointing September international window losing to Canada and drawing against New Zealand, the USMNT will now begin putting that behind them with the Argentine taking the reigns in an era fans hope is littered with success. He is set to become the highest-paid coach in U.S. Soccer history, per reports, but after coaching at some of Europe's biggest clubs, Pochettino also will have high expectations to match that salary.

Here's how you can watch the unveiling and more:

It's finally time

Coaching at Espanyol, Southampton, Tottenham, Paris Saint-Germain, and Chelsea, Pochettino will bring an impressive amount of experience and a flexible style to the USMNT. His base formation may be a 4-2-3-1 but depending on needs, he has used a 4-3-3 or even formations based on a back three. Friday will be a big day as he's able to begin to craft his vision for what the next few years will look like.

Crocker has spoken about how there's an accelerated plan to get Pochettino up to speed on the USMNT and soccer in the United States over the next six weeks and he'll get to quickly put that to the test. In the October international window, Pochettino will face Panama and then travel to Guadalajara to face Mexico in a true welcome to Concacaf gauntlet.

With Pochettino on board, here are some important upcoming dates for the USMNT to keep in mind:
