Chile striker Mauricio Pinilla gets tattoo of his missed shot vs. Brazil
So this is fun: Chile striker Mauricio Pinilla got a tattoo of his heartbreaking miss against Brazil.
Saturday was heartbreaking for Chile. The darkhorse pick to make a deep run in the World Cup fell short in the Round of 16, falling in a penalty shootout to Brazil.
What made it worse is that Chile nearly won the match in extra time, when striker Mauricio Pinilla hit the crossbar in the 120th minute.
In an interesting/strange turn of events, though, Pinilla has decided to let that crossbar strike stay with him forever.
Pinilla got a tattoo of the shot hitting the crossbar, along with the words "One centimeter from glory."
