Neymar leaves Brazil training ground in a helicopter
Brazil star Neymar left Brazil's training ground in a helicopter and was taken home to begin rehab on the back injury that will sideline him for the remainder of the World Cup.
Brazil star Neymar was airlifted from Brazil's training facility in a helicopter on Saturday. He was taken home to be treated for the back injury he suffered in Friday's quarterfinal win over Colombia. The injury will keep him out of the remainder of the World Cup.
Neymar was diagnosed with a broken vertebra following Friday's 2-1 win.
The Brazilian football confederation released a video on Saturday in which Neymar thanked fans for the support he has received.
In the video, Neymar said his "dream is not over yet. It was interrupted by one play, but it will continue and I know that my teammates will do whatever possible so I can fulfill my dream of being a champion."
