It's officially net-cutting season. The 2022 Women's NCAA Tournament field is set after Sunday's Selection Show, and the bracket reveal -- you can print your bracket here -- provided plenty of excitement before the games begin Wednesday.

In one of the bracket reveal's more surprising developments, NC State claimed the No. 1 seed in the Bridgeport region over blue blood UConn. The Huskies have won 10 straight, including a 30-point win over Villanova for the Big East title, and has superstar Paige Bueckers returning from knee surgery. NC State, meanwhile, went 29-3 this season and won the ACC title over Miami.

Another interesting seeding decision came in the Wichita region. Despite losing in the ACC quarterfinals to Miami, Louisville earned a No. 1 seed over the No. 2-seeded Baylor. The Bears went 27-6 this season and reached the Big 12 final, where they fell to Texas 67-58.

Speaking of Texas, the Big 12 champs earned the No. 2 speed in the Spokane region behind Stanford. The Cardinal are the reigning national champions and have won 20-straight games, but they lost to the Longhorns on Nov. 14 in Palo Alto.

More teams will have a shot at a national title than in the past this season. This is the first 68-team field in the tournament's history, a four-team expansion over years' past. The men's tournament has had 68 teams since 2011.

The First Four games are set for Wednesday and Thursday at campus sites along with the first and second rounds. Neutral site games come into play beginning with the Sweet 16 and Elite Eight. The regional semifinals and finals will be played in Bridgeport, Conn., Greensboro, N.C., Spokane, Wash. and Wichita, Kansas.

The Final Four on April 1 and national championship game on April 3 will both take place at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
