WATCH: Ronda Rousey slams Triple H through table at WWE Elimination Chamber
Rousey made a huge statement during her contract signing in Las Vegas on Sunday
Ronda Rousey made a tremendous statement to the entire sports world last month when she made a surprise appearance during the end of the Royal Rumble, and Sunday at WWE Elimination Chamber when she was set to sign her Raw contract, she may have made an even bigger one.
Prior to the main event on Sunday, the planned contract signing segment took place. Present in the squared cricle were Rousey, Raw general manager Kurt Angle, commissioner Stephanie McMahon and WWE COO Triple H. And everything seemed to be going great at first until things took a turn when Angle decided to throw his two cents in, admitting to Rousey that he believes Triple H and McMahon were actually manipulating her by bringing her into the company to keep her down.
Angle's reasoning included Triple H and McMahon still being a bit salty over what took place at WrestleMania 31 with Rousey and The Rock where the power couple was embarrassed in the middle of the ring. Rousey, obviously taking the words of the Raw GM to heart, made "The Game" pay as he returned to the ring in an attempt to try and talk her down.
Afterwards, McMahon connected with a stiff open-hand slap to Rousey, but McMahon was able to escape the ring before suffering the same fate as her husband. To close, Rousey signed her Raw contract with a scowl on her face then dropped it on her fallen boss.
It was an impactful first advertised appearance for "Rowdy," and after what went down during this Elimination Chamber segment on Sunday night, it's pretty clear where the WrestleMania plans for her are headed. She will likely team up with Angle to take on Triple H and McMahon in a mixed tag team match.
