Heyward capped off a four-homer sixth inning by the Dodgers with a two-run blast off Grant Anderson. It was his third homer of the year and his second game with multiple RBI. The 34-year-old remains in a platoon against right-handed pitching, and is now slashing .234/.315/.469 with eight extra-base hits, eight RBI, 12 runs and a 6:11 BB:K in 73 plate appearances.
Heyward isn't in the Dodgers' lineup for Saturday's game against the Yankees.
Heyward went 0-for-5 during Friday's series opener and will now sit down against the lefty-throwing Nestor Cortes. Chris Taylor, Andy Pages and Teoscar Hernandez will start across the Dodgers' outfield while Heyward rests.

Heyward was responsible for all three of the Dodgers' two-baggers in the contest, and he came around to score following both of his final two hits. The veteran outfielder has been swinging a hot bat of late, slashing .500/.588/1.143 with four doubles, a triple, a home run, five runs, two RBI, a stolen base and a 3:2 BB:K over his past six contests. Heyward has played almost exclusively against right-handed pitching this season, notching just two plate appearances against southpaws.
Heyward is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Heyward didn't start the contest, but he was called upon to pinch hit for Andy Pages in the eighth inning and smacked a triple before eventually coming around to score. The veteran outfielder got another at-bat in the ninth and came through with a solo homer to right-center field. Since returning from a lengthy stay on the injured list May 17, Heyward has slashed .231/.310/.538 with a pair of homers, three RBI, four runs and a stolen base over 29 plate appearances.
