Realmuto is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Giants. Realmuto will get a breather for the afternoon game after he started behind the plate each of the previous three days while going 3-for-13 with eight strikeouts. He recorded exactly one hit in each of those contests to extend his hitting streak to 17 games. Unless he's deployed off the bench Wednesday, Realmuto will look to extend the streak to 18 when he likely returns to the lineup for Friday's series opener versus the Cardinals.... See More ... Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Another multi-hit game
Realmuto went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, two additional RBI and an additional run scored during Wednesday's 11-4 win over the Rangers. Realmuto has generated a hit in 12 consecutive games and has reached via hit multiple times in six of those contests. However, Wednesday's solo homer off Dane Dunning was his first of that stretch and his three RBI were his most since April. Realmuto is batting .377 with three doubles and 11 runs scored during his hit streak.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Makes return to lineup
Realmuto (knee) will start at catcher and bat second in Wednesday's game against the Mets. Realmuto will re-enter the starting nine after sitting out each of the past three games while managing a sore right knee. Provided he doesn't experience any setbacks in his return to action, Realmuto should resume handling one of the heftier workloads in the league among No. 1 catchers, though it wouldn't be surprising if the Phillies gave him a breather later this week or had him serve as a designated hitter for a game.... Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Expected back Wednesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Tuesday that he expects Realmuto (knee) to return to the lineup for Wednesday's game versus the Mets, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. Realmuto missed a third straight start Tuesday because of right knee soreness. However, he got in a productive workout pregame, and as long as he doesn't have any sort of setback, it appears he'll be back in there for Wednesday's tilt in Philadelphia.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Works out pregame Tuesday
Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Realmuto (knee) did some work on the field and in the batting cage pregame Tuesday, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports. Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Held out again Tuesday
Realmuto (knee) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday's contest versus the Mets. It will be the third straight start Realmuto has missed as he deals with right knee soreness. There doesn't seem to be concern yet about a potential injured-list stint for Realmuto, but the possibility certainly increases the more time he misses. Garrett Stubbs will again handle the catching duties for the Phillies on Tuesday.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Out Monday with knee injury
Realmuto (knee) is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Realmuto will be on the bench for a second straight game with what the Phillies are characterizing as right knee soreness. The veteran backstop said he first picked up the injury while legging out a triple in the Phillies' May 4 game against the Giants, and his knee hasn't improved in the week since. Neither Realmuto nor the Phillies are concerned yet about him requiring a stint on the injured list, though that could be a stronger possibility if he's not able to return to the lineup within the next couple of days. Garrett Stubbs will fill in for Realmuto behind the plate Monday.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Taking seat Tuesday
Realmuto is absent from the lineup for Tuesday's contest against the Blue Jays. It's a rare day off for Realmuto, who has reached base eight times over the last three games. Garrett Stubbs will get a start behind the plate for the Phillies.... See More ... See Less -

Realmuto went 3-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's win over the Giants. Realmuto slid into the No. 2 spot in the order with Trea Turner (hamstring) recently being placed on the injured list. He singled in the third and came home on Bryce Harper's three-run homer and would wind up notching two more base hits before his night was over. Sunday was the first three-hit effort of the season for Realmuto and his seventh multi-hit game. For the year, he's now slashing .259/.315/.431 with five homers, 14 RBI, 18 runs and a 9:34 BB:K in 127 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -

Realmuto (neck) will start at catcher and bat cleanup in Wednesday's game in St. Louis. Realmuto departed Tuesday's 3-0 loss when a pitch in the dirt bounced up and caught him in the throat. Even with the Phillies and Cardinals playing a day game after a night game, he's feeling well enough to give it a go Wednesday.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Dealing with bruised neck
Realmuto (neck) will be evaluated again Wednesday, Todd Zolecki of MLB.com reports. Realmuto is dealing with a bruised neck after taking a Zack Wheeler slider off of his neck in the seventh inning Tuesday, putting his availability in doubt for the immediate future. The catcher's status will receive another update Wednesday after he undergoes additional testing, and if he's forced to miss any time, Garrett Stubbs will likely operate as the team's primary catcher.... Realmuto came around to score Philadelphia's first run of the game on an Alec Bohm triple in the second inning before blasting a three-run shot in the next frame to extend the lead to four runs. It was the catcher's second long ball of the season, and he's tallied two hits in back-to-back contests. Furthermore, Realmuto has now hit safely in six straight after going 0-for-3 in the Phillies' first game of the season, raising his average to .333 in the process.... See More ... See Less -

Realmuto is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Reds. Realmuto went 4-for-14 with a solo homer, two walks and an additional run scored across the first four games of the season, but he'll take a seat for Tuesday's contest. Garrett Stubbs will step in behind the plate to catch for Spencer Turnbull.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' J.T. Realmuto: Pops first homer of season
Realmuto went 2-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and a second run scored in Saturday's 12-4 loss to Atlanta. The 33-year-old catcher tagged Jesse Chavez for his first long ball of the season in the third inning, but the Phillies were already in a 7-3 hole before he'd even stepped into the batter's box. Realmuto's .762 OPS last year was his lowest mark since 2015, his first full season in the majors, while his 25.7 percent strikeout rate was a career worst. Even so, he still delivered 20 homers and 16 steals in 135 games, and unless the bottom completely falls out for him in 2024, Realmuto should be one of the top fantasy options behind the plate....
