Nationals' CJ Abrams: Belts 11th homer
Abrams went 2-for-5 with a double, a home run, two runs scored and two RBI in Wednesday's 7-5 win over the Tigers.
The shortstop launched a solo shot off Reese Olson in the third inning to get the Nationals on the board. Abrams has shaken off his May slump, hitting safely in six straight games with six of his seven hits (three doubles, a triple and two homers) during that stretch going for extra bases. On the season, the 23-year-old is slashing .248/.296/.472 with 11 homers, 10 steals, 34 RBI and 38 runs in 61 contests.

Nationals' CJ Abrams: Collects steal No. 10
Abrams went 1-for-5 with a double, three RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over Atlanta.
The shortstop came through with one of the big blows in a seven-run fourth inning for the Nationals, smashing a bases-loaded double into the right-field corner, and Abrams then promptly stole third base. The two-bagger was his 12th of the season while the steal was his 10th, and Abrams might be coming out of his prolonged slump -- he's hit safely in four straight games and five of the last six with three extra-base hits (two doubles and a homer), two steals, three runs and five RBI.

Nationals' CJ Abrams: Homers in loss
Abrams went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Thursday's loss to Atlanta.
Abrams broke a scoreless tie in the sixth frame with his leadoff homer against Atlanta starter Reynaldo Lopez. The shortstop came into the contest having gone 1-for-21 over his previous seven games and recently missed time due to a shoulder issue, so the long ball was a much-needed positive development. Abrams reached 10 homers on the campaign with Thursday's blast, but he's slashing a meager .246/.293/.456 through 247 plate appearances.

The 23-year-old hasn't seen the field since Friday due to the shoulder issue but is back atop the lineup Tuesday for Washington. Abrams will look to get back on track now that he's healthy, as he went 0-for-14 with eight strikeouts in the three games preceding his absence.

Nationals' CJ Abrams: Remains out Monday
Abrams (shoulder) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Mets.
Abrams reported improvement with his left shoulder Monday but still doesn't feel 100 percent when he's swinging a bat, per Spencer Nusbaum of The Washington Post. He'll miss out on a third consecutive start after he jammed the shoulder last week. With Abrams receiving more rest, Ildemaro Vargas will fill in at shortstop once again.

Nationals' CJ Abrams: Scratched again Sunday
Abrams (shoulder) was scratched from Sunday's lineup against the Guardians, Andrew Golden of The Washington Post reports.
Abrams was penciled in to start at shortstop and bat leadoff but has instead been scratched for the second straight game due to a jammed left shoulder.
