Jaguars' Ventrell Miller: Officially placed on IR
The Jaguars placed Miller (Achilles) on injured reserve Tuesday, John Oehser of the Jaguars' official site reports.
Miller sustained a season-ending Achilles injury during Saturday's preseason finale, so Tuesday's move is simply procedural. He'll now shift his focus toward his lengthy recovery process in hopes of returning in 2024.

Jaguars' Ventrell Miller: Suffers season-ending injury
Coach Doug Pederson said Monday that Miller (Achilles) will miss the 2023 season, Michael DiRocco of ESPN.com reports.
Miller suffered a season-ending right Achilles injury during Saturday's preseason finale against the Dolphins. Expect the Jaguars to place the rookie fourth-round pick on injured reserve in the near future. The Florida standout will need to turn his full attention toward recovering for the 2024 campaign.

Jaguars' Ventrell Miller: Suffers apparent lower leg injury
Miller (lower leg) is questionable to return to Saturday's preseason game against Miami, per John Shipley of SI.com.
The 2023 fourth-round pick seemed to be favoring his right foot, which is the same foot he had surgery on at the end of his collegiate career, Kainani Stevenson of the team's official site reports. Miller has been competing for a depth spot in the Jaguars' linebacker room ahead of the coming season. The severity of the Florida product's injury is currently unknown.

Jaguars' Ventrell Miller: Staying in North Florida
The Jaguars selected Miller (foot) in the fourth round of the 2023 NFL Draft, 121st overall.
Miller is a bit overaged at 24 as a rookie, and a Jones fracture prevented him from participating in pre-draft workouts. He missed the bulk of the 2021 season with a torn bicep as well. His best seasons came in 2020 and 2022 at Florida when he racked up 70-plus tackles and got into the backfield with regularity. The Jaguars are fairly deep at inside linebacker, so Miller won't be rushed onto the field before he's ready.
