McDavid was held off the scoresheet three times in the second round but still put up a goal and eight assists in seven games. He's already off to a strong start in the Western Conference Finals after finishing Game 1 with a goal 32 seconds into the second overtime. The superstar has three goals, 20 helpers, 36 shots on net, 27 hits and a plus-7 rating over 13 playoff appearances.... See More ... See Less -

McDavid notched three assists, two shots on goal, two PIM, two hits and a plus-3 rating in Saturday's 5-1 win over the Canucks in Game 6. McDavid responded to his second scoreless outing of the playoffs with a showcase of playmaking. He set up goals by Zach Hyman, Evan Bouchard and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins as the Oilers took control Saturday and forced a Game 7 on Monday. McDavid is up to 21 points (two goals, 19 assists) with 31 shots on net, 25 hits and a plus-5 rating over 11 playoff appearances. He hasn't gone multiple games in a row without a point since a three-game slump from Nov. 6-11.... See More ... See Less -

McDavid posted a power-play assist, four shots on goal and two hits in Tuesday's 3-2 win over the Canucks in Game 4. McDavid's playoff-opening point streak ended at seven games after he was held off the scoresheet in Sunday's Game 3 loss. Oilers' Connor McDavid: Four points in overtime win
McDavid scored a goal on five shots, added three assists, logged three hits and went plus-2 in Friday's 4-3 overtime win over the Canucks in Game 2. McDavid's goal in the third period forced overtime, and he had a helper on the other three goals the Oilers scored in a back-and-forth game. The 27-year-old's exceptional playmaking has continued into the playoffs -- he has two goals and 15 assists through seven postseason appearances. McDavid has added 19 shots on net, 15 hits and a plus-4 rating. He could be poised for even stronger offense than usual if head coach Kris Knoblauch keeps McDavid and Leon Draisaitl together moving forward.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Two helpers in series-clinching win
McDavid logged a pair of assists in Wednesday's 4-3 Game 5 win over Los Angeles. Oilers' Connor McDavid: Racks up three points in win
McDavid scored a goal on five shots, added two assists and logged two hits in Friday's 6-1 win over the Kings in Game 3. All three of McDavid's points came on the power play -- he's earned seven of his nine points this postseason with the man advantage. The all-world center has added nine shots on net, eight hits and a plus-1 rating. McDavid's still a little assist-heavy (one goal, eight helpers), but the Oilers won't care how he gets his offense as long as it continues to show up in bulk.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Picks up power-play assist
McDavid recorded a power-play assist, three hits and two PIM in Wednesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Kings in Game 2. McDavid didn't have much of an encore after a five-assist performance in Game 1. He was limited to a secondary helper on Zach Hyman's tally midway through the second period, as the Kings' defense did a better job of limiting McDavid's chances. The 27-year-old has four shots on net and six hits over two playoff contests, and he should continue to put pressure on the Kings even if it only leads to chances for his teammates.... See More ... Oilers' Connor McDavid: Distributes five assists in Game 1
McDavid racked up five assists, including three on the power play, in Monday's 7-4 win over the Kings in Game 1. It's a fitting start to the playoffs in the year that McDavid recorded a 100-assist regular season. He's proven he can still be dominant without scoring a goal, though he'll likely get plenty of looks of his own going forward. McDavid has earned 11 points over his last five contests, with four multi-point efforts in that span.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Resting Thursday
McDavid will sit out for rest Thursday versus the Avalanche, Oilers play-by-by announcer Jack Michaels reports. McDavid ends another excellent regular season with 32 goals and 100 assists over 76 appearances. He should be fine for Game 1 of the playoffs.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Secures 100-assist season
McDavid scored a goal on three shots, dished an assist, went plus-3 and added two hits in Monday's 9-2 win over the Sharks. McDavid opened the scoring in the first minute, but it took until the Oilers' ninth goal for him to finally get his 100th assist of the campaign. He's the first player to achieve that milestone since 1990-91, narrowly beating Nikita Kucherov (99 helpers) to the mark. McDavid has added 32 goals, 261 shots on net, 116 hits and a plus-37 rating in another excellent campaign, which is all the more impressive given his slow start.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Playing Monday
McDavid (lower body) will be in action versus the Sharks on Monday, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports. McDavid will return from a three-game absence due to his lower-body issue. The world-class center has registered a multi-point effort in nine of his last 11 contests, racking up a combined six goals and 18 assists over that stretch. If the Oilers can't catch the Canucks for the top spot in the Pacific, the team could decide to rest McDavid for one or both of the upcoming back-to-back contests against the Coyotes on Wednesday or the Avalanche on Thursday.... Oilers' Connor McDavid: Not playing Saturday
McDavid (lower body) won't play Saturday against Vancouver, per Ryan Rishaug of TSN. McDavid will miss his third straight contest as he continues to nurse a lower-body issue. Oilers' Connor McDavid: Won't play Friday
McDavid (lower body) will not be in the lineup to face the Coyotes on Friday, telling reporters, "I won't go tonight. We will see about tomorrow. We are going day-by-day," per Jason Gregor of Sports 1440 Edmonton. McDavid will be shelved for a second straight game due to his lingering lower-body issue. It will be a tight turnaround for the world-class center to get back into the lineup with the Oilers entering a back-to-back. McDavid should be considered questionable for Saturday's clash with Vancouver.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Questionable for Friday
McDavid (lower body) is questionable for Friday's game against Arizona, per Ryan Rishaug of TSN. McDavid missed Tuesday's 5-1 win over Vegas because of his lower-body injury. He has 31 goals and 130 points in 74 outings in 2023-24. When McDavid is ready to return, Adam Henrique will likely slide from the second line to the third line.... See More ... See Less -

McDavid (lower body) is not on the ice for warmups, indicating he'll miss Wednesday's game versus the Golden Knights, Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic reports. McDavid was labeled a game-time decision, but it appears he will take the extra rest as the Oilers have already locked up a playoff spot. The superstar center will be replaced in the lineup by Dylan Holloway, who was called up from AHL Bakersfield on Tuesday. McDavid's next chance to play is Friday versus the Coyotes, which is the first game of a back-to-back set.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Game-time call Wednesday
McDavid (lower body) skated Wednesday and will be a game-time decision for the evening's tilt against Vegas, Tom Gazzola of Edmonton Sports Talk reports. McDavid's availability was first put into question after he missed Tuesday's practice. He has 31 goals and 130 points in 74 contests this season. Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch said he doesn't want to rush McDavid, which makes all the sense in the world with the playoffs just around the corner, but the bench boss will ultimately let the star forward decide based on how he's feeling.... See More ... See Less -
Oilers' Connor McDavid: Considered day-to-day
McDavid (lower body) is day-to-day ahead of Wednesday's clash with the Golden Knights, per Daniel Nugent-Bowman of The Athletic. McDavid's availability for Wednesday's contest is unclear after he didn't participate in Tuesday's practice. If he doesn't play against Vegas, Leon Draisaitl will move up to the top line and Adam Henrique will center the second. McDavid has amassed 31 goals and 130 points in 74 games this season....
