  • Falcons' DeMarcco Hellams: Healthy once again

Hellams (concussion) took part in OTAs on Tuesday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Hellams entered concussion protocol as the 2023 season came to an end, but he is now healthy and ready to take the field. The Alabama product saw his role grow as last season progressed and is expected to begin the 2024 campaign in a starting role at safety.

  • Falcons' Troy Andersen: Back on field

Andersen (pectoral) participated in OTAs on Tuesday, the Falcons' official site reports.

Andersen suffered a torn pectoral muscle last September and underwent surgery. He wasn't able to return before the end of the season, though Andersen was cleared to return to practice in Week 18. The 2022 second-round pick now looks to be fully healthy and should reclaim a starting role in Atlanta's linebacking corps after tallying 69 tackles in 17 games as a rookie and 19 stops over his two appearances during the injury-shortened 2023 campaign.

Williams (knee) participated in OTAs on Tuesday, Tori McElhaney of the Falcons' official site reports.

Since entering the NFL in 2021, Williams has primarily operated as a return man, accumulating 445 punt-return yards and 803 kick-return yards across two seasons. Now that Williams has returned to the field, he's expected to compete for a role on special teams and as a depth option in the backfield.

  • Falcons' Bijan Robinson: On track for minicamp

Robinson (ankle) is on schedule to be ready for the start of the veteran minicamp June 10, D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Robinson suffered an ankle injury during OTAs last Tuesday, but he's only dealing with a minor issue and will be back on the practice field June 10-12. In the meantime, Tyler Allgeier should take most of the starting reps in the backfield, while rookie Jase McClellan (foot) could benefit from expanded opportunities if he's able to get healthy before Robinson. With Kirk Cousins (Achilles) now at the helm of Atlanta's offense, Robinson will be a popular Year 2 breakout candidate in 2024 fantasy drafts.
