Quintana came away with a no-decision in Sunday's win over the Phillies, giving up three runs on six hits and two walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out one.
The veteran southpaw was headed for his sixth loss of the season when he got the hook after 69 pitches (41 strikes), but a late rally from the Mets got him off the hook. Quintana's only win of 2024 came back on April 11 -- since then, he's stumbled to a 5.86 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 32:15 K:BB over 10 starts (50.2 innings). He'll try to turn things around in his next outing, which lines up to come at home this weekend against the Padres.

Quintana was excellent for most of the day Wednesday, allowing just one hit through his first five scoreless innings. However, after allowing a pair of hits in the sixth, Quintana surrendered a two-out, three-run homer to Andres Gimenez that tied the game 3-3, leaving the southpaw with a no-decision. It's just the second quality start for Quintana in 10 outings this season though he's looked better of late, allowing five runs on eight hits and no walks in his last two starts (11.1 innings). He'll carry a 5.13 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and 36:18 K:BB into his next start, currently scheduled for early next week against the Dodgers.

Quintana and the Mets won't face the Cardinals on Wednesday after the game was postponed due to inclement weather in St. Louis, Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports.
The two teams will make up the game Aug. 5. Assuming Quintana wasn't too overtaxed from his warmup prior to Wednesday's game being postponed, he could have his next start pushed back to Friday's series opener versus Atlanta following Thursday's team off day.

The veteran lefty managed to keep the ball in the park, but after a scoreless first inning, Quintana got pecked to death by a barrage of singles and doubles in his shortest outing of the season.
