Stott is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Mets in London. Stott started the previous nine games and is in the midst of a five-game hit streak, and he's gone 5-for-17 with a double, three walks, two RBI and four stolen bases in the latter stretch. Weston Wilson will take over at second base and bat eighth Sunday.... See More ... See Less

Phillies' Bryson Stott: Logs two steals in loss
Stott went 1-for-4 with two RBI, two stolen bases and one walk in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning loss to the Cardinals. Stott has had trouble getting on base lately -- he's 5-for-44 (.114) with two walks over his last 12 games -- but he's managed to steal four bases in that span. He played a more noticeable role Sunday with a two-run single to tie the game at 4-4 in the fifth inning. Those RBI were his first since May 21. The infielder is slashing .239/.340/.372 with 16 steals, five home runs, 32 RBI and 31 runs scored over 55 contests this season.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Sitting against left-hander
Stott is not in the lineup for Monday's game in San Francisco. The Giants are starting reigning National League Cy Young winner and southpaw Blake Snell on Monday, so the left-handed hitting Stott will receive a day off. Whit Merrifield will handle second base for the Phillies.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Impactful off bench
Stott went 1-for-2 with a walk, two RBI and a run during Thursday's 6-5 extra-innings loss to the Mets. Stott initially was left out of the lineup against southpaw Jose Quintana -- a normal occurrence for the lefty-hitting second baseman -- but entered the game as a pinch hitter in the seventh. He walked in his first plate appearance and came around to score on a Kyle Schwarber double, drove in the game-tying run on an RBI single in the bottom of the ninth, and brought the Phillies to within one in the 11th after a fielder's choice plated Nick Castellanos. In his last eight games, Stott is batting .478 with 11 RBI and 10 runs scored.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Sitting against lefty
Stott isn't in the Phillies' lineup for Thursday's game against the Mets. The lefty-hitting Stott will take a seat as southpaw Jose Quintana prepares to start on the mound for New York. Whit Merrifield will fill the void at second base and bat seventh.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Plates four runs
Stott went 2-for-5 with four RBI in Saturday's 8-3 victory over the Marlins. Stott's bases-clearing triple in the sixth inning put the Phillies ahead for what turned out to be for good. He also added an RBI single in the eighth. It's the second four-RBI game for Stott over his last 10 contests, and he's batting .375 with a couple homers and 13 RBI over that span.... See More ... Phillies' Bryson Stott: On bench Friday
Stott is out of the lineup for Friday's game against Miami. Stott will defer to Whit Merrifield at second base with a lefty (Trevor Rogers) on the mound for Miami. Stott is slashing .250/.344/.389 through 128 plate appearances this season.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Getting rest Wednesday
Stott is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Angels. With a lefty (Patrick Sandoval) on the mound for the Angels and with the Phillies and Halos wrapping up their series with a day game after a night game, the lefty-hitting Stott will get a maintenance day. Whit Merrifield will replace Stott at second base.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Sits in second straight game vs. LHP
Stott is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Reds. The lefty-hitting Stott is on the bench for the second day in a row while the Phillies oppose another left-handed starting pitcher (Nick Lodolo). Whit Merrifield will get another turn at the keystone in place of Stott.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Heads to bench Friday
Stott is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the White Sox. Sott has a .618 OPS through 19 games this season and will take a seat Friday as lefty Garrett Crochet starts for Chicago. Edmundo Sosa will handle the keystone and bat eighth.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Pair of hits, steals base
Stott went 2-for-3 with a run scored and a stolen base during Monday's 2-1 win over Colorado. Stott reached three times in four plate appearances Monday, producing his first multi-hit game since March 30 (14 games). Stott's pilfer came in the third frame off Cal Quantrill, marking the second baseman's third steal of the campaign. While he hasn't put up monstrous performances this season, Stott has logged a hit in six consecutive starts with merely nine strikeouts and seven walks over 60 total plate appearances.... Phillies' Bryson Stott: Swats two-run homer
Stott went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run Thursday in a 5-1 victory versus Pittsburgh. Stott's two-run blast in the seventh inning capped the scoring in the contest for Philadelphia. It was his first homer of the year and just his second extra-base hit of any sort. It's been a slow start to the campaign for Stott, who is slashing just .220/.313/.317 through 48 plate appearances.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Moved down to eight spot
Stott will start at second base and bat eighth in Wednesday's game against the Cardinals. Stott is slashing just .206/.317/.235 in his first 11 contests this season, so he'll be dropped from sixth to eighth in the Phillies' batting order. He's switching spots with Brandon Marsh, who has been elevated to sixth.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Hits bench vs. lefty
Stott is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Washington, Alex Coffey of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. Stott has made three starts against left-handed pitchers this season but will take a seat against Nationals southpaw MacKenzie Gore. Edmundo Sosa will handle the keystone and bat eighth Sunday.... Phillies' Bryson Stott: On bench versus lefty
Stott is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against Atlanta, Scott Lauber of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports. The 26-year-old went 4-for-8 with a double, two RBI, a run and a stolen base in the first two games of the season, but he'll take a seat Sunday with southpaw Chris Sale on the mound for Atlanta. One of those first two starts also came against a lefty, so it doesn't appear Stott is beginning the season in a strict platoon. Whit Merrifield will take over at second base in Sunday's series finale.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: On base four times Sunday
Stott went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, one RBI and one run scored in Sunday's 9-1 win over the Mets. Stott had gone 4-for-34 over a nine-game stretch without a multi-hit effort before putting the slump to rest in the regular-season finale. This season was a breakout year for the second baseman. He posted a .280/.329/.419 slash line with 15 home runs, 62 RBI, 78 runs scored and 31 stolen bases over 151 games, and he should be the starter at the keystone for the Phillies in the playoffs.... Phillies' Bryson Stott: Sitting out nightcap
Stott isn't in the Phillies' lineup for the second game of Saturday's doubleheader against the Mets. After an 0-for-4 performance in Game 1 of Saturday's action, Stott will ride the pine with lefty Jose Quintana on the mound for New York. Edmundo Sosa will instead start at the keystone and bat fifth.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Sitting against lefty
Stott isn't in the Phillies' lineup Saturday against the Mets. Left-hander Jose Quintana will start on the mound for New York, so the lefty-hitting Stott will retreat to the bench for the beginning of the game. Rodolfo Castro will start at the keystone and bat ninth.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Sitting against lefty
Stott is not in the lineup Tuesday against the Angels. Rodolfo Castro will get a rare start at second base as the Phillies take on left-hander Tyler Anderson. The left-handed-hitting Stott went 0-for-4 with a strikeout in Monday's series opener versus the Angels, though he managed to tally his 25th stolen base of the season in what was a 6-4 victory for Philly.... See More ... See Less -
Phillies' Bryson Stott: Not starting Sunday
Stott is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Pirates. Stott has five hits across the first two games in Pittsburgh but will take a seat for Sunday's series finale, ending a streak of 13 straight starts. Josh Harrison will man the keystone and bat seventh.... See More ... See Less
