Hall had his left knee evaluated in Milwaukee on Monday, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports. "We have no indication that [the knee injury] worse than [a tweak] right now," Brewers assistant general manager Matt Kleine said. "But we just want to be conservative. There's no sense in rushing through it or pushing through it at this point."
Hall was placed on the 15-day injured list April 21 due to a left knee sprain but was cleared to begin a rehab assignment with High-A Wisconsin on May 19. After making a one-inning appearance for Wisconsin, Hall moved his rehab to Triple-A Nashville last Thursday, and he tossed a scoreless, 16-pitch inning while sporting a fastball that sat around 94-to-95 miles per hour, per MLB.com. Brewers manager Pat Murphy said after Thursday's rehab outing that Hall tweaked his knee late in the appearance after his cleat got caught in the field. Though the Brewers don't appear to be too concerned about Hall's health, the team will wait on the results from Monday's evaluation before determining whether the left-hander is ready to cover multiple innings in his next rehab start.

Hall was placed on the IL on April 21, one day after he sprained his left knee while fielding a bunt in his start against the Cardinals. The young southpaw was able to stay in the game upon suffering the injury, but he saw a stark decline in his velocity thereafter, prompting the Brewers to shut him down. Hall is in the process of rehabbing and strengthening the knee and hasn't hit any reported snags in the recovery process, but until he reaches the point that he's able to face hitters, the team likely won't have a concrete target date for his return from the IL.

Hall didn't factor in the decision Saturday in St. Louis after he allowed four runs on five hits and five walks over 3.2 innings. He struck out three.
The left-hander threw just 50 of his 90 pitches for strikes as he walked multiple batters in both the first and second innings. It's the second straight outing Hall has failed to last four innings, but the Milwaukee offense struck for 12 runs to keep him out of the loss column. The 25-year-old has a 7.71 ERA, 2.27 WHIP and 13:10 K:BB across 16.1 innings through four starts, and his leash in the rotation may be running out given the awful start to the season.

The 25-year-old southpaw lines up to make his next start on the road next weekend in St. Louis.
