Dominic Leone CHW RP
White Sox's Dominic Leone: Battling back tightness
3m agoLeone was removed from Saturday's game against the Cardinals due to lower-back tightness, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Leone entered the game in the eighth inning and was only able to get through one batter -- a five-pitch walk to Nolan Arenado -- before coming out of the game. The team officially labeled Leone as day-to-day, so his injury doesn't seem to be too severe, but the 32-year-old righty may take a few days off before pitching again.

Geraldo Perdomo ARI SS
Diamondbacks' Geraldo Perdomo: Fielding grounders, throwing
23m agoManager Torey Lovullo said Saturday that Perdomo (knee) has been fielding live ground balls and has also resumed throwing, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.
Perdomo still has yet to resume hitting, as the Diamondbacks are going to take a cautious approach with his rehab just three weeks removed from knee surgery. The 24-year-old infielder remains without a definite return timeline, but Lovullo noted he is encouraged by the progress Perdomo has made so far.
-
Chas McCormick HOU LF
Astros' Chas McCormick: Resumes running
31m agoMcCormick (hamstring) began running Saturday and could participate in batting practice within the next few days, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Manager Joe Espada said McCormick has been feeling better since tweaking his hamstring Tuesday, and the team hopes to send him on a minor-league rehab assignment "pretty soon." The 29-year-old outfielder will be eligible to return from the IL on Wednesday, though the Astros haven't indicated whether or not he'll be ready to go by then.
-
Joey Wiemer MIL LF
Brewers' Joey Wiemer: No structural damage in knee
1h agoWiemer was diagnosed with a strained popliteus muscle in his left knee Saturday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.
Wiemer added that the results of his MRI revealed no ligament damage. The 25-year-old outfielder fell awkwardly during Friday's win over the Cubs and landed on the injured list Saturday, though it doesn't seem like he will be in line for a long-term IL stint.
-
Graham Pauley SD 3B
Padres' Graham Pauley: Optioned to Triple-A
1h agoThe Padres optioned Pauley to Triple-A El Paso on Saturday.
Pauley will be squeezed off the major-league roster following the acquisition of Luis Arraez from Miami. Pauley has been fantastic in the minors but struggled to get going upon joining the Padres, slashing .125/.125/313 across 32 plate appearances. The 23-year-old infielder may still return to the big leagues later this season as a bench piece, but San Diego's loaded infield unit will make it hard for him to contribute on a regular basis.
-
Luke Raley SEA RF
Mariners' Luke Raley: Sits down against southpaw
1h agoRaley isn't in the Mariners' lineup Saturday against Houston.
Framber Valdez will toe the slab for the Astros on Saturday, meaning the lefty-hitting Raley will step out of the lineup. Sam Haggerty will enter as Seattle's left fielder and bat ninth.
-

Sabol played in 110 games for the Giants last season and finished with a .235 average with 13 home runs and 44 RBI. He'll provide depth at backstop while Tom Murphy takes over as the primary catcher in Bailey's absence.
-
Patrick Bailey SF C
Giants' Patrick Bailey: Lands on concussion IL
3h agoThe Giants placed Bailey on the 7-day concussion injured list Saturday.
Bailey left Friday's game against the Phillies after he was struck in the mask by a foul tip off the bat in the first inning. Tom Murphy is slated to take over as the primary catcher in Bailey's absence, while Blake Sabol was recalled from Triple-A Sacramento on Saturday to provide backstop depth.

He played in nine rehab games with Triple-A Indianapolis, posting a .257/.316/.400 with one home run and 11 RBI over 38 plate appearances. Grandal was activated from the IL on Friday, and he's set to make his 2024 debut Saturday against Rockies southpaw Austin Gomber.

Salvador Perez KC C
Royals' Salvador Perez: Slugs eighth homer
8h agoPerez went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run during Friday's 7-1 victory over the Rangers.
Perez's three-run shot off Jose Urena capped off a six-run seventh inning for the Royals and extended the backstop's hitting streak to four games. He has yet to show any signs of slowing down at the plate, slashing .351/.413/.605 with eight homers and 30 RBI across his first 126 plate appearances.
-
Josh Naylor CLE 1B
Guardians' Josh Naylor: Idle against lefty
2h agoNaylor isn't in the Guardians' lineup Saturday against the Angels.

-
Kody Clemens PHI 1B
Phillies' Kody Clemens: Recalled by Philadelphia
4h agoThe Phillies recalled Clemens from Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Saturday.
The move corresponds with the Phillies placing Trea Turner on the 10-day IL due to a left hamstring strain. Clemens was called up to the majors in April while Bryce Harper was on paternity leave. Clemens appeared in one game, going 2-for-4 with a three-home run against the Reds on April 22. He's slashing .247/.327/.419 with five doubles, three home runs and 16 RBI over 104 plate appearances in Triple-A.
-
Andrew Vaughn CHW 1B

Angels' Nolan Schanuel: Homers in win
8h agoSchanuel went 3-for-4 with a solo home run, a walk and two runs scored during Friday's 6-0 win over Cleveland.
Schanuel's third-inning shot off Tanner Bibee put the Angels up 1-0, and singles in the fifth and eighth innings would help the 22-year-old secure his third multi-hit game in his last four contests. He has now hit safely in 12 of his last 13 games while slashing .388/.423/.531 with two homers and six RBI in that stretch.
-
Christian Encarnacion-Strand CIN 1B
Reds' Christian Encarnacion-Strand: Returns to action
9h agoEncarnacion-Strand went 0-for-3 in Friday's 3-0 loss to Baltimore.
Encarnacion-Strand missed the last four games with a hand injury. His first full season in the majors has gotten off to a rocky start, as the first baseman is slashing .190/.216/.305 over 111 plate appearances. His strikeout rate is nearly identical to what it was in 2023, but the walk rate is about half of what it was last year and Encarnacion-Strand is in the fifth percentile in chase percentage.
-
Jake Cronenworth SD 1B
Padres' Jake Cronenworth: Goes yard again
17h agoCronenworth went 3-for-5 with a solo homer in Friday's win over Arizona.
Cronenworth smacked a 398-foot home run off Slade Cecconi in the fourth inning to give him his third homer in five games. The Padres first baseman also extended his hit streak to seven games, batting .370 (10-for-27) during that time. Cronenworth has started the season on a tear, slashing .279/.353/.516 with six home runs, 25 RBI and 18 runs scored over 142 plate appearances.
-
Luis Rengifo LAA 2B
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Battling illness
2h agoRengifo is out of Saturday's lineup versus Cleveland due to an illness, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Rengifo was reportedly feeling under the weather Friday as well, but he won't be able to play through his illness Saturday. Ehire Adrianza is filling in as the Angels' third baseman and could continue to do so if Rengifo is forced to miss any additional games.
-
Luis Rengifo LAA 2B
Angels' Luis Rengifo: Day off Saturday
3h agoRengifo isn't in the Angels' lineup for Saturday's game against the Guardians, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
Rengifo will get a breather after logging a base hit in each of his last seven games and recording multiple hits in each of his last three. Ehire Adrianza will fill in at the hot corner and bat second.
-
Brandon Drury LAA 2B
Angels' Brandon Drury: Back in action Saturday
3h agoDrury (migraine) is starting at second base and batting fifth Saturday against Cleveland, Erica Weston of Bally Sports West reports.
A migraine has kept Drury out of the Angels' last two games, but the issue appears to have subsided ahead of Saturday's contest. The 31-year-old has been in a slump at the plate recently, going just 2-for-23 across his last seven games.
-
Jose Altuve HOU 2B
Astros' Jose Altuve: Picks up seventh steal
5h agoAltuve went 1-for-4 with a run and an RBI on Friday against the Mariners.
Altuve had a productive day from the leadoff spot that included the go-ahead RBI in the seventh inning. He also stole his seventh base of the season and third in his last two contests. Altuve has seven homers across 146 plate appearances while hitting .348, providing excellent production across the board.
-
Miles Mastrobuoni CHC 2B
Cubs' Miles Mastrobuoni: Called up from Triple-A
6h agoThe Cubs recalled Mastrobuoni from Triple-A Iowa on Saturday.
Mastrobuoni made the Cubs' Opening Day roster and was optioned to Triple-A Iowa on April 18 after Patrick Wisdom returned from a stint on the 10-day injured list due to a back injury. Mastrobuoni has appeared in 10 games for Iowa, slashing .231/.318/.436 with 10 runs, five doubles, one home run and four RBI over 44 plate appearances. Matt Mervis was sent down to Triple-A Iowa in a corresponding move.
-
Zack Gelof OAK 2B
Athletics' Zack Gelof: Throws across infield practice
16h agoGelof (oblique) threw across the infield before Friday's game against the Marlins, the Associated Press reports.
Gelof was cleared for baseball activities Wednesday, when he began fielding grounders and playing catch. His ability to do some more aggressive throwing Friday is certainly another encouraging benchmark, although it remains unclear when he'll be ready to pick up a bat again.
-
Graham Pauley SD 3B
-
Josh Rojas SEA 3B
Mariners' Josh Rojas: Idle versus LHP
1h agoRojas isn't in the Mariners' lineup for Saturday's game against the Astros.
Left-hander Framber Valdez will take the mound Saturday for Houston, sending the left-handed bat of Rojas to the bench for the beginning of the game. Luis Urias will cover the hot corner instead and bat eighth.
-
Ramon Urias BAL 3B
Orioles' Ramon Urias: Sitting third straight
2h agoUrias isn't in the Orioles' lineup Saturday against the Reds, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
Urias saw an initial uptick in playing time after Jackson Holliday was optioned back to Triple-A Norfolk, but Saturday will mark his third consecutive game taking a backseat to Jordan Westburg. Urias is slashing just .167/.184/.250 across 49 plate appearances this season, and his lack of offensive production has likely caused him to slide down on the Orioles' depth chart.
-
Jonah Bride MIA 3B
Marlins' Jonah Bride: Back to majors
3h agoThe Marlins recalled Bride from Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.
Bride played in five games for the Marlins at the beginning of the season, going 1-for-7 with a walk over that span. He was optioned to Triple-A Jacksonville on April 4, and he has been tearing it up in the minors with a .349 batting average and 1.180 OPS over 110 plate appearances. To make room for Bride, Miami optioned right-hander Woo-suk Go to Triple-A Jacksonville.
-
Isiah Kiner-Falefa TOR 3B
Blue Jays' Isiah Kiner-Falefa: Gets Saturday off
4h agoKiner-Falefa isn't in the Blue Jays' lineup for Saturday's game against the Nationals.
Kiner-Falefa went 1-for-3 during Friday's series opener, and he'll get a breather Saturday against Jake Irvin and the Nats. Justin Turner will pick up a start at third base while Daniel Vogelbach serves as Toronto's DH and bats sixth.
-
Edmundo Sosa PHI 3B
Phillies' Edmundo Sosa: Starting Saturday
4h agoSosa is starting at shortstop and batting eighth in Saturday's game against the Giants.
Sosa is set to takeover as the primary shortstop with Trea Turner landing on the 10-day IL with a left hamstring strain. Sosa has appeared in nine games this season and is 6-for-21 with two runs, one double, one home run and two RBI over that span.
-
Geraldo Perdomo ARI SS
-
Dylan Moore SEA SS
Mariners' Dylan Moore: Lifts second homer Friday
3h agoMoore went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Astros on Friday.
The fifth-inning blast with Luke Raley aboard extended Moore's hitting streak to three games while also serving as Moore's first homer since Opening Day. The utility man also coaxed his average back over the Mendoza Line for the first time since April 25, but his .682 OPS still has plenty of room for improvement.
-
Trea Turner PHI SS
Phillies' Trea Turner: Out at least six weeks
3h agoTurner (hamstring) said Saturday that he expects to miss at least six weeks with his left hamstring strain and that a return sooner than that "would be a win," Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.
Turner strained his left hamstring Friday against the Cubs, and he was placed on the 10-day IL a day later. It's a big blow for the Phillies, as Turner has been one of their most productive players at the plate this season with an .852 OPS, second on the team behind Alec Bohm. Six weeks would take Turner to a potential return for mid-June, though the star shortstop could be out until July depending on how he progresses in his rehab. Philadelphia will turn to Edmundo Sosa to be the primary shortstop with Turner on the shelf, and Bryson Stott could shift over from second base in platoon lineups against right-handed pitching.
-
Trea Turner PHI SS
Phillies' Trea Turner: Headed to IL
4h agoThe Phillies placed Turner on the 10-day injured list Saturday due to a left hamstring strain.
Turner left before the fifth inning of Friday's game against the Cubs after straining his left hamstring running bases in the fourth frame. The 30-year-old shortstop was off to a hot start this season, slashing .343/.392/.460 with 10 doubles, 10 stolen bases, two home runs and nine RBI over 148 plate appearances. Edmundo Sosa is slated to take over as the primary shortstop while Turner recovers from his injury. The Phillies recalled infielder Kody Clemens from Triple-A Lehigh Valley in a corresponding move.
-
Bobby Witt KC SS
Royals' Bobby Witt: Earns 10th steal
5h agoWitt went 1-for-4 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Friday's 7-1 win over the Rangers.
Witt's RBI single put the Royals up 3-1 in the seventh inning. He then stole second and scored on a Salvador Perez three-run home run. Witt is one of seven players to reach double-digit steals so far this season, though he's also been caught four times, most among those players. The shortstop is batting .357 during his seven-game hitting streak, and he's at a .318/.364/.538 slash line through 33 contests overall.
-
Jose Caballero TB SS
Rays' Jose Caballero: On base three times
5h agoCaballero went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a walk Friday against the Mets.
Caballero collected a pair of hits for the second consecutive game and also drew his first walk in 12 starts. He also remains busy on the basepaths, though he was caught stealing for the fifth time in 14 attempts on the campaign. Caballero hasn't offered much power across 113 plate appearances, but he does have 14 runs scored and 12 RBI.
-
Chas McCormick HOU LF
-
Luke Raley SEA RF
Mariners' Luke Raley: Sits down against southpaw
1h agoRaley isn't in the Mariners' lineup Saturday against Houston.
Framber Valdez will toe the slab for the Astros on Saturday, meaning the lefty-hitting Raley will step out of the lineup. Sam Haggerty will enter as Seattle's left fielder and bat ninth.
-
Colton Cowser BAL LF
Orioles' Colton Cowser: Sitting against lefty
2h agoCowser isn't in the Orioles' lineup for Saturday's game against the Reds, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
With lefty Andrew Abbott set to take the mound for Cincinnati, the lefty-hitting Cowser will begin Saturday's contest on the bench. His absence will open a spot for Ryan McKenna to start in left field while batting ninth.
-
Will Brennan CLE RF
Guardians' Will Brennan: Resting versus lefty
2h agoBrennan isn't in the Guardians' lineup Saturday versus the Angels.
Left-hander Reid Detmers will toe the slab for Los Angeles on Saturday, meaning the lefty-hitting Brennan will begin the game in the dugout. Ramon Laureano will fill the void in right field and bat fifth.
-
Mauricio Dubon HOU CF
Astros' Mauricio Dubon: Sits Saturday
3h agoDubon isn't in the Astros' lineup Saturday against the Mariners, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Dubon went 0-for-3 with a sac fly during Friday's series opener, and he'll now get a day off for Saturday's contest. His absence will move Joey Loperfido into center field while Jon Singleton starts at first base.
-
Alec Marsh KC SP
Royals' Alec Marsh: Making rehab start Sunday
2h agoMarsh (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment at Triple-A Omaha on Sunday.
Manager Matt Quatraro hinted Friday toward sending Marsh out on a rehab assignment, and the 25-year-old righty will now officially build back up with Omaha. Starting Sunday would put Marsh in line to return to Kansas City's rotation Friday against the Angels, though it's unclear if the Royals will want to keep him in the minors for multiple starts.
-
Josiah Gray WAS SP
Nationals' Josiah Gray: Has good BP session Saturday
2h agoNationals manager Davey Martinez said Gray (elbow) threw about 35 pitches in Saturday's bullpen session, Bobby Blanco of MASNSports.com reports.
Gray's session Saturday marked the first time the right-hander has thrown off the mound since landing on the 15-day IL with a right flexor strain, and Martinez noted that the right-hander didn't suffer any setbacks. Gray is set for another bullpen appearance next Tuesday and Wednesday, per Andrew Golden of The Washington Post. Gray will need a few more bullpen sessions before beginning his rehab assignment.
-
Alek Manoah TOR SP
Blue Jays' Alek Manoah: Returning Sunday
4h agoManoah (shoulder) will start Sunday's game against the Nationals, Arden Zwelling of Sportsnet.ca reports.
Manoah has been on the injured list with right shoulder inflammation since the beginning of the season. He's made five rehab starts in the minors -- four at Triple-A Buffalo -- and has given up 19 runs across 19.2 total innings while posting a 28:11 K:BB. However, the 26-year-old looked dominant in his most recent Triple-A outing Tuesday, giving up one earned run across six innings while punching out 12 batters and walking two. Manoah's performance Tuesday could be a sign that his struggles are finally behind him, though he remains an extremely risky streaming option given his lack of consistency.
-
Gerrit Cole NYY SP
Yankees' Gerrit Cole: Takes big step in recovery
5h agoCole (elbow) threw 15 pitches off a mound Saturday, Max Goodman of The Newark Star-Ledger reports.
This was Cole's first bullpen session since he was shut down from throwing in mid-March, thus it was a significant milestone as the reigning AL Cy Young Award winner works his way back to the Yankees rotation. Per Goodman, Cole was "giddy" after throwing Saturday, so it appears the session went well. The veteran right-hander is eligible to come off the IL near the end of this month, but recent reports suggest that mid-June may be a more realistic target.
-
Michael Lorenzen TEX SP
Rangers' Michael Lorenzen: Quality start in no-decision
8h agoLorenzen allowed one earned run on four hits and three walks while striking out three batters in six innings during Friday's loss to the Royals. He didn't factor into the decision.
Despite allowing a fair amount of traffic on the bases, Lorenzen was able to keep the Royals' bats quiet for six innings outside of a fifth-inning solo home run off the bat of Hunter Renfroe. Lorenzen now sports a 3.52 ERA through across 23 innings through his first four starts, and he should have an opportunity to stay hot as he faces the A's in Oakland on Wednesday.
-
Brady Singer KC SP
Royals' Brady Singer: Punches out eight
8h agoSinger took a no-decision Friday against the Rangers after allowing one earned run on four hits while striking out eight batters through six innings. He did not issue a walk.
Although Singer turned in yet another strong outing Friday, his contributions went unrewarded as the Royals were unable to take the lead until after the 27-year-old was removed from the game, giving the win to John Schreiber instead. Singer didn't get the win, but his 2.45 ERA and 42 strikeouts through 40.1 innings on the season still give fantasy managers plenty of reason to be pleased with his performance to begin the year.
-
Dominic Leone CHW RP
White Sox's Dominic Leone: Battling back tightness
3m agoLeone was removed from Saturday's game against the Cardinals due to lower-back tightness, Daryl Van Schouwen of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Leone entered the game in the eighth inning and was only able to get through one batter -- a five-pitch walk to Nolan Arenado -- before coming out of the game. The team officially labeled Leone as day-to-day, so his injury doesn't seem to be too severe, but the 32-year-old righty may take a few days off before pitching again.
-
Woo-Suk Go MIA RP
Marlins' Woo-suk Go: Moved to Triple-A
3h agoThe Marlins optioned Go to Triple-A Jacksonville on Saturday.
Go was part of the Padres' trade package to acquire Luis Arraez on Friday. Before the trade, Go was demoted to Double-A San Antonio, where he has posted a 4.38 ERA and 1.49 WHIP over 12.1 frames. He'll start his career in the Marlins' system with Triple-A Jacksonville and look to work his way to the big club.
-
Dedniel Nunez NYM RP
Mets' Dedniel Nunez: Moved down to Triple-A
3h agoThe Mets optioned Nunez to Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.

Nunez will join Danny Young in being sent down to Triple-A Syracuse, while Christian Scott and Cole Sulser head to the big club.
-
Danny Young NYM RP
Mets' Danny Young: Back down to Triple-A
3h agoThe Mets optioned Young to Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.
Young was called up by the Mets on April 28. He appeared in two games, including May 2 against the Cubs when he earned his first major-league win after allowing one unearned run on two hits and a walk while striking out one batter over one frame. Young and right-hander Dedniel Nunez will head down to Triple-A Syracuse, while right-handers Christian Scott and Cole Sulser move up to the big club in corresponding moves.
-
Cole Sulser NYM RP
Mets' Cole Sulser: Recalled by Mets
3h agoThe Mets recalled Sulser from Triple-A Syracuse on Saturday.
Sulser struggled in his last major-league outing April 13 against the Royals, allowing three runs on three hits and two walks while striking out two over 1.2 frames. He's appeared in six games in Triple-A, posting a 4.50 ERA and 0.88 WHIP over eight innings with Syracuse. Sulser joins right-hander Christian Scott in a call up to the Mets, while left-hander Danny Young and right-hander Dedniel Nunez were optioned to Triple-A Syracuse in corresponding moves.
-
Michael Grove LAD RP
Dodgers' Michael Grove: Nabs win in relief Friday
3h agoGrove (1-1) earned the victory against Atlanta on Friday, retiring all three batters he faced in the 11th inning.
Grove faced a daunting task in the top of the 11th frame, as he came on with the automatic runner at second base and Ronald Acuna, Ozzie Albies and Austin Riley due up for Atlanta. The right-hander handled the situation with aplomb, retiring all three batters without allowing the ball to leave the infield. Grove then picked up the win when the Dodgers scored in the bottom of the inning. The right-hander has turned things around after his early-season struggles, posting a 2.38 ERA, 0.88 WHIP and 17:4 K:BB over his past 11.1 frames and holding the opponent scoreless in seven of his past eight outings.
-
Ryan O'Hearn BAL DH
Orioles' Ryan O'Hearn: Gets breather against lefty
2h agoO'Hearn isn't in the Orioles' lineup Saturday against the Reds, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.
O'Hearn will stay put in the Orioles' dugout as the Reds send out lefty Andrew Abbott to start on the mound. Adley Rutschman will serve as Baltimore's DH while O'Hearn rests, allowing James McCann to start behind the plate.
-
Estevan Florial CLE DH
Guardians' Estevan Florial: Sits down against lefty
2h agoFlorial isn't in the Guardians' lineup Saturday against the Angels.
The left-handed bat of Florial will step out of the lineup Saturday as southpaw Reid Detmers prepares to start for the Halos. His absence will move Bo Naylor into the DH role while Austin Hedges draws a start at catcher.
-
Shohei Ohtani LAD DH
Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani: Notches two steals Friday
4h agoOhtani went 1-for-3 with a run, an RBI, two walks and two stolen bases Friday in a 4-3 extra-innings victory versus Atlanta.
Ohtani's first theft came in the third inning, and it led to Los Angeles' first run, as Will Smith followed with a two-out RBI single. It looked like Ohtani would be picked off in the eighth frame, but Matt Olson mishandled the throw to first base, allowing the Japanese superstar to make to second base safely. Ohtani later came up with a huge hit in the bottom of the 10th, stroking a one-out single to center field to plate the tying run after Atlanta had scored in the top of the frame. Ohtani continues to put up big numbers for the Dodgers and for his fantasy managers, as he's slashing .336/.405/.612 with seven homers, 20 RBI, 26 runs and seven steals (in seven attempts) through 153 plate appearances.
-
Manny Machado SD DH
Padres' Manny Machado: Belts homer Friday
4h agoMachado went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, an additional run and a walk Friday in a 7-1 victory versus Arizona.
Machado accounted for the Padres' final two runs in the victory with his fifth-inning blast. The homer extended his hitting streak to five games, though he's notched exactly one hit in each contest and is batting just .238 during that stretch. Machado does have six RBI during the hitting streak, though, which is more than he had accumulated in his previous 20 games combined.
-
Willie Calhoun LAA DH
Angels' Willie Calhoun: Tallies three hits in team debut
4h agoCalhoun went 3-for-4 with a double and a run Friday in a 6-0 win against the Guardians.
Calhoun started at DH and batted cleanup in his first action with Los Angeles after being called up from Triple-A on Wednesday. The veteran was productive in his first game with the big club, and he scored the team's second run following a fourth-inning double. With Miguel Sano (knee) and Anthony Rendon (hamstring) among a bevy of Angels on the injured list, Calhoun could see semi-regular starts at designated hitter, though manager Ron Washington has shifted various players into the DH role throughout the campaign.
