Terence Crawford (30-0, 21 KOs) retained his WBC and WBO super lightweight titles with a dominant performance against John Molina Jr. (29-7-0, 23 KOs) that resulted in an eighth-round TKO.

The champ dominated from the jump and the gap in talent between he and Molina was clear throughout the fight as he picked apart Molina for eight rounds. Molina, to his credit, continued to march forward despite getting out hit by Crawford 184-41 in the bout as he searched for one lucky looping shot to floor Crawford.

Instead, it was Crawford who stopped the fight early with a flurry of punches in the eighth round to force the referee to step in.

The most damage was done by Crawford's body work, most notably the final right hook to the body that forced Molina's hands to drop and the referee to stop the fight.

Crawford's performance was another reminder that, currently, no one in the 140-pound division can compete with Crawford -- who despite the lack of competition at 140 belongs near the top of any pound-for-pound list. The next actual test for the Omaha star will likely need to come from 147 pounds.

He's made his desire to take on Manny Pacquiao known, which would be the most significant fight he could make financially. After the fight, he also said he wanted to challenge for either of the other 140-pound belts against either Ricky Burns or Julius Indongo, but would consider a run at another 147 pound star, Errol Spence Jr., if the right fight could be made.
