GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) Brandon Tabb and Reggie Baker scored 22 points each with Baker making six straight free throws in the final 15 seconds as Bethune-Cookman fended off a surging North Carolina A&T 73-70 on Monday night.

Eliel Gonzalez, who led N. C. A&T with 20 points, hit his fourth 3-pointer with two seconds remaining, slicing Bethune-Cookman's lead to 71-70, but Baker made his last two free throws and a 3-point attempt missed as time ran out. The loss keeps the Aggies (2-18, 0-15 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) winless against Division I opponents this season.

Bethune-Cookman (8-21, 5-10) had trouble putting the game away after N.C. A&T came within 67-65, missing its next two shots - one Baker drive swatted away by Davaris McGowans, who had four blocks. The Aggies started fouling to get into the bonus, but Baker stepped up at the line.

The Wildcats head towards the MEAC tournament March 7 on a three-game win streak.
