Duquesne hires Jim Ferry; Perri to take over at LIU-Brooklyn

Duquesne has hired Long Island-Brooklyn coach Jim Ferry.

Ferry, according to sources, met with athletic director Greg Amodio last week and the two came to an agreement on Tuesday.

Sources also told CBSSports.com that Jack Perri will replace Ferry at LIU-Brooklyn.

Ferry led LIU to its first NEC regular-season crown in 14 years in 2011 and followed it up with another title this past season.

His record is 150-149 since taking over in 2002.

Ferry replaces Ron Everhart, who was fired after a 99-89 mark in six years. The Dukes were 16-15 this past season and lost two starters to transfer -- including star point guard T.J. McConnell.
