JACKSON, Miss. (AP) Yettra Specks scored 18 points, Edric Denis added 16 points, 11 from the line, and Jackson State beat Arkansas-Pine Bluff 74-59 on Monday night.

Derek Roscoe added 11 points for Jackson State (9-13, 5-4 SWAC).

Janarius Middleton, averaging 29 minutes, 6.2 points and 7.8 rebounds for Jackson State, picked up two fouls in the first 25 seconds of play and sat out the rest of the first half. But the Tigers still led 38-22 after making 12 of 24 shots, including six 3-pointers. UAPB was held to 6-of-22 shooting (27.3 percent) in the first half.

Middleton finished with eight points and seven rebounds.

Trent Steen scored 11 points and Jaquan Lynch added 10 for UAPB (5-18, 4-5).

The Golden Lions, who trailed by as many as 21 points in the second half, went on a 15-0 run to pull to 45-39 with 14:23 left. But Jackson State scored the next five and led by at least eight points the rest of the way.
