The Brewers announced Tuesday infielder Pete Orr and outfielder Bryan Petersen were reassigned to minor-league camp.
The Rangers made a slew of roster moves Monday, which included demoting pitcher Nick Tepesch to Triple-A Round Rock so he can continue to start. The Rangers also reassigned pitchers Cory Burns, Miles Mikolas and Daniel Bard, catchers Patrick Cantwell and Brett Nicholas, infielders Kensuke Tanaka and Andy Parrino and outfielders Brad Snyder and Bryan Peterson to minor-league camp.
The Rangers have signed outfielder Bryan Petersen and pitchers Nathan Adcock and Jose Contreras to minor-league deals with invitations to spring training. Petersen spent all of 2013 with Triple-A New Orleans, hitting .275/.363/.407 with eight home runs, 49 RBI and 12 stolen bases in 506 at-bats. Adcock went 8-6 with a 6.67 ERA, 1.67 WHIP and a 69:50 K:BB ratio in 113 1/3 innings between Triple-A clubs Omaha and Reno. Contreras made seven appearances with the Pirates, allowing five earned runs in five innings, as well as going 2-3 with a 3.00 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 42:12 K:BB ratio in 33 innings across three minor-league levels.
The Marlins reassigned outfielder Bryan Petersen to their minor-league camp on Tuesday after he collected just one hit in 16 at-bats during Grapefruit League play. He is expected to open the season at Triple-A New Orleans where he hit .321 in 64 games last year.
The Marlins signed reliever Jon Rauch to a one-year deal Tuesday and designated outfielder Bryan Petersen for assignment to clear a roster spot.
