    • Schreiber outrighted to Triple-A

News: The Braves sent RHP Zach Schreiber outright to Triple-A Richmond. He had been designated for assignment.
Analysis: Schreiber is nothing more than organizational depth at this point as a middle reliever. Ignore him in all Fantasy leagues.
    • Schreiber designated for assignment

News: With Yunel Escobar out, the Braves purchased the contract of Brent Lillibridge from Triple-A Richmond Saturday and started him at shortstop against the Mets. It was his major league debut. To make room, right-hander Phil Stockman was optioned to Triple-A and right-hander Zach Schreiber was designated for assignment.
Analysis: Schreiber was a middle reliever who didn't get used nearly enough or in a role in which he can produce in even leagues in which middle relievers are useful. Leave him on the waiver wire.
    • Braves cut six from spring camp

News: The Braves optioned RHP Jairo Cuevas, RHP Charlie Morton, RHP Zach Schreiber and RHP Phil Stockman to Triple-A Richmond and reassigned C J.C. Boscan and RHP Matt DeSalvo to minor league camp Wednesday.
Analysis: All of these players are nothing more than organizational depth and can be ignored in all Fantasy leagues on Draft Day.
    • Charlie Morton among Braves' cuts

News: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that pitching prospect Charlie Morton and C/1B Tyler Flowers were among the Braves cuts on Wednesday. Also dropped were RHPs Zach Schreiber, Phil Stockman, Matt DeSalvo and Jairo Cuevas, shortstops Javier Guzman and Diory Hernandez, and catcher J.C. Boscan.
Analysis: "I like Charlie Morton - he's going to be a good pitcher," Braves manager Bobby Cox. Morton gave up one earned run on five hits in three innings, with two walks and one strikeout, in two spring relief appearances. He was sent to Triple-A Richmond, where he'll start in their rotation. Morton could help later this season, whether it's in the bullpen or in the rotation, so consider him in larger NL-only keeper leagues. Flowers is a nice power prospect in keeper leagues. Schreiber and Stockman went to Triple-A Richmond, Cuevas went to Double-A Mississipi, and the others were reassigned to the Braves' minor-league camp. These players aren't worth picking up in Fantasy play at this time.
    • Braves add Schreiber to roster

News: The Braves purchased the contract of RHP Jairo Cuevas from Class A Myrtle Beach, RHP Charlie Morton from Double-A Mississippi and RHP Zach Schreiber from Triple-A Richmond. Also, they designated UTL Pete Orr for assignment. They have 10 days to trade, release or outright him to the minor leagues.
Analysis: Schreiber, 25, went 3-5 with five saves and a 2.22 ERA in Double-A and 1-1 with one save and a 2.43 ERA in 24 Triple-A games. He is nothing more than a low-end middle reliever for the deepest of NL-only leagues that use true middle men when he is called up.
