Padres' Jemile Weeks: Signs minor league deal with Padres

Weeks signed a minor league deal with the Padres on Friday, Baseball America's Matt Eddy reports. He has a career .371 OBP at Triple-A, but it is starting to look more and more like Triple-A is where he belongs. Weeks has 63 MLB plate appearances since 2013, and while the Padres are short on high-impact infield talent at the big league level, it could still prove difficult for him to crack the 25-man roster in 2016.
