Mets' Juan Uribe: On World Series roster

Uribe (chest) is on the Mets' World Series roster, ESPN's Adam Rubin reports. This will be Uribe's first opportunity on the Mets' postseason roster as the veteran had been kept out of the previous two series due to a chest injury. Matt Reynolds, the de-facto backup shortstop after Ruben Tejada broke his leg during the NLDS, will lose his spot on the roster in place of Uribe. It's unlikely the 36-year-old, who is one of the only players on the roster to have any World Series experience, will get any starts against the Royals in the series, but he could be a valuable pinch-hitter if called upon.

Mets infielder Juan Uribe travels with team to Kansas City

Mets infielder Juan Uribe (chest), injured September 20 and out since September 25, took batting practice Saturday and will travel with the Mets to Kansas City, The Record reports. Uribe, one of the few Mets with World Series experience, reportedly looked great during batting practice. If he is on the team's 25-man roster, it likely will come at the expense of Kirk Nieuwenhuis.

Mets infielder Juan Uribe not on NLCS roster

Mets infielder Juan Uribe (chest) is not ready to play and will not be on the team's NLCS roster, Adam Rubin of ESPN New York reports. Uribe has not yet progressed to taking batting practice or any other baseball activities, so his exclusion from the roster does not come as much of a surprise. With just two pinch-hit appearances since Sept. 20 representing all of his playing time in that span, Uribe likely would not be on the World Series roster should the Mets advance that far.

Mets infielder Juan Uribe hasn't resumed baseball activities

Mets infielder Juan Uribe (chest) has not resumed baseball activities, ESPN's Adam Rubin reports. Uribe has made just two pinch-hit appearances since Sept. 20 and it seems apparent that his injury hasn't made much improvement. It seems likely he will be withheld from the roster if the Mets advance to the NLCS.

Mets infielder Juan Uribe will not play in NLDS vs. Dodgers

Mets infielder Juan Uribe (chest/ribs) has been ruled out of the NLDS, The Wall Street Journal reports. This designation seemed likely considering Uribe hasn't been able to play much since suffering a chest injury diving for a ball Sept. 20. He hasn't been ruled out for future rounds if the Mets advance, but it's unlikely the 36-year-old will be used as anything more than a pinch-hitter at this point in the season.

Report: Mets 3B Juan Uribe iffy for first round of playoffs

Mets third baseman Juan Uribe (chest/ribs) is considered "very iffy" for the divisional series against the Dodgers, per ESPN New York. Uribe first suffered damage to cartilage in his chest two weeks ago while diving for a grounder. He then aggravated the injury during a pinch-hitting appearance in Cincinnati on Sept. 25. Uribe is still unable to do any baseball activity and is likely to be left off the roster unless he shows material improvement the next few days.

Mets 3B Juan Uribe done until at least start of October

Mets third baseman Juan Uribe (chest) isn't expected to play for the rest of the road trip, Matt Ehalt of The Record reports. That's pretty much the remainder of the regular season - they play two games at home against Washington before starting the playoffs. Uribe was already expected to miss some time because of the injury, but at least this puts a bit better defined timetable on him.

Mets' Juan Uribe to miss at least a few days with chest injury

X-rays came back negative on Mets infielder Juan Uribe's chest, but the veteran third baseman may be out for "a while," Anthony DiComo of MLB.com reports. Uribe aggravated his chest injury during a brief appearance in Friday's game before exiting the contest. His chest injury kept him out of the lineup for four games, and Friday's aggravation of the ailment may keep him out for the remainder of the Mets' series against the Reds. Uribe is suffering from a cartilage issue in his chest, but hopes to resume hitting "in a few days".

Mets' Juan Uribe aggravates chest injury during pinch-hit at-bat

Mets infielder Juan Uribe, who saw one at-bat Friday, left the game after aggravating his chest injury, Adam Rubin of ESPN.com reports. Uribe was initially left out of the lineup for Friday's tilt against the Reds, but came on to replace David Wright. After striking out in his lone at-bat, he left the game due to an aggravation of the chest injury that kept him out of the lineup for four games. With the Mets taking the field Saturday for an afternoon game, it's unlikely that Uribe will be available until at least Sunday.

Mets third baseman Juan Uribe remains out Thursday

Mets third baseman Juan Uribe (chest) is not in the lineup for Thursday's game against the Reds. Uribe was able to pinch hit in Wednesday's game, so it's possible he is feeling better and simply is not starting Thursday. However, consider him day to day until he returns to the starting lineup.
