Palushaj was released from his professional tryout by the Blue Jackets, but will join AHL Cleveland on a minor league deal. Palushaj spent the last two season in the AHL, as he has failed to make an appearance in an NHL contest since his two-game stint with Carolina during the 2013-14 campaign. The winger has just three goals in his career and can probably be left off most fantasy rosters. While with the Monsters, the 27-year-old is free to sign with any NHL team.
Palushaj penned a professional tryout agreement with Columbus on Thursday. Palushaj returned to North America last season with AHL Lehigh Valley after spending the previous year playing in the KHL. The 27-year-old has bounced around several different organizations over the course of his career, but has totaled less than a full NHL season on his way to logging three goals and 11 assists in 68 contests. A roster spot with the Blue Jackets seems like a long shot for the Michigan-native, so fantasy owners may want to consider other long-term prospects.
Aaron Palushaj signed with the Flyers on Thursday, Frank Seravalli of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.
The Hurricanes assigned Aaron Palushaj to AHL Charlotte on Wednesday.
The Hurricanes recalled Aaron Palushaj from AHL Charlotte on Monday.
