Sgarbossa (lower body) will sit out Sunday's regular-season finale in Washington, Harvey Fialkov of the Sun Sentinel reports. With that, Sgarbossa's season comes to a close. The 24-year-old posted new career highs across the board, but that still puts his point total at just 10. He hasn't showed signs of being a serious scoring threat at this point in his career, so a breakout campaign next season shouldn't be expected.
Sgarbossa was forced out of Saturday's game against the Sabres due to a lower-body injury and he will not return. Sgarbossa works on the checking line and isn't a major fantasy contributor when healthy. If Sgarbossa cannot play in the team's regular-season finale in Washington, perhaps Jussi Jokinen draws into the lineup in his stead.
Sgarbossa (undisclosed) is projected to be a healthy scratch for Thursday night's game against the Blue Jackets, NHL.com reports. The Ontario native has missed the last three games and five of the last six. His limited role even when healthy makes him a non-factor in the fantasy realm.
Sgarbossa (undisclosed) is a scratch for Friday's game against the Wild. Sgarbossa will miss his first game after getting knocked out of Tuesday's contest. There are still several unknowns concerning the 24-year-old's injury, including when he may be able to return, so expect an update on his status when that appears to be closer.
Sgarbossa (undisclosed) left Tuesday's game against the Rangers and was unable to return, Jameson Olive of FOX Sports Florida reports. Sgarbossa was crushed by Chris Kreider of the Rangers on a clean hit and struggled to skate back to the bench. He immediately went to the room for evaluation and never returned, limiting him to 7:16 of ice time and 13 shifts. If Sgarbossa is forced to miss time, Shawn Thornton will likely draw back in.
