  • Flyers Send Zepp To AHL

News: The Flyers loaned Rob Zepp to AHL Lehigh Valley on Sunday, the team's official site reports.
Analysis: With Rob Zepp headed to the AHL, the team has recalled fellow goalie Anthony Stolarz to back up Steve Mason.
  • Flyers Place Zepp On Waivers

News: Rob Zepp was placed on waivers Saturday, Renaud Lavoie of TVA Sports reports.
Analysis: Since the Flyers aren't able to assign Rob Zepp to AHL Lehigh Valley until he clears waivers Sunday, look for the goalie to stick around in a backup capacity behind Steve Mason for Saturday's game against the Rangers. Once Ray Emery (lower body) is activated from injured reserve -- which could happen within the next few days -- Zepp would more than likely head back to the minors.
  • Flyers' Zepp Stumbles As Mason Returns

News: Rob Zepp was pulled after allowing two goals on eight shots Thursday in a loss to Toronto.
Analysis: Steve Mason came on and stopped eight of nine, which ended up getting him the loss instead of Rob Zepp. WIth Mason back now, Zepp's starts will dry up, and he could ultimately be sent back to AHL Adirondack once Ray Emery gets healthy, although the Flyers could demote or cut Emery instead.
  • Flyers Roll With Zepp

News: Rob Zepp is in line to start Thursday's game against the Maple Leafs, Dave Isaac of the Courier-Post reports.
Analysis: Rob Zepp, who is 5-2-0 with a 2.80 GAA and a .893 save percentage in nine appearances to date, is thus on track to draw the start Thursday, though with Steve Mason nearing a return, Zepp's run as the Flyers' starter could be winding down.
  • Zepp Takes Loss For Flyers

News: Rob Zepp allowed four goals on 35 shots Tuesday in a 4-1 loss to Carolina.
Analysis: The 'Canes got him a couple times on the power play, but they all count the same. Rob Zepp looked to be picking up a little momentum after posting back-to-back wins over the weekend, but he certainly lost some momentum with this one.
  • Flyers Turn To Zepp Tuesday

News: Rob Zepp will be in net for Tuesday's game against the Hurricanes, Randy Miller of reports.
Analysis: Rob Zepp was impressive in earning two wins over the weekend against the Predators and Capitals. He'll get the nod for a third straight contest as the team announced Ray Emery is dealing with a lower-body injury and Steve Mason not quite ready to return.
  • Flyers' Zepp Wins Again

News: Rob Zepp turned away 21 of the 23 shots he faced in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Capitals.
Analysis: Rob Zepp earned both starts in a back-to-back set after shutting down the Predators on Saturday, and came away with the win in both against a pair of tough opponents. Steve Mason could return from injury within the week, but at 5-1-0 and with two impressive weekend showings, Zepp could take over the starting duties until then.
  • Flyers Roll With Zepp Sunday

News: Rob Zepp will start in net Sunday's game against the Hurricanes.
Analysis: Rob Zepp took down the Predators on Saturday by allowing just two goals on 22 shots, and he will now return in goal Sunday to face another tough opponent in the Capitals.
  • Flyers' Zepp Gets The Better Of Nashville

News: Rob Zepp beat the NHL's best team Saturday, allowing two goals on 22 shots in a 3-2 shootout win over the Predators.
Analysis: This was just Rob Zepp's sixth start of the season, as veteran Ray Emery has taken over the starting reins in the absence of Steve Mason (knee) recently. Zepp has been rather mediocre in those seven appearances, putting up an .892 save percentage and 2.73 GAA, but then again -- he does have four wins during than span on a wildly inconsistent Flyers squad.
  • Flyers' Zepp Starting Saturday

News: Rob Zepp will start Saturday's game against the Predators.
Analysis: Rob Zepp will get his sixth start of the season, with Philadelphia saving Ray Emery for Sunday's game against the Capitals. Zepp has a 3-1-0 record, .889 save percentage and 2.92 GAA, entering a matchup with the current frontrunner for the Presidents' Trophy.
