Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Scores in return to lineup

Schwartz returned to the lineup Friday, scoring a goal and adding an assist in 13:31 of ice time in a win over Florida. Schwartz had missed the past 49 games after fracturing his ankle in late-October. The 23-year-old skated on the second line with Vladimir Tarasenko and now has six points in the eight games he's appeared in this season. Now that he's back in the Blues' lineup, make sure you get the former 28-goal-scorer back into your fantasy lineup.

Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Will skate with familiar mates

Schwartz (ankle) will return to the active lineup Friday night against the Panthers and he'll be skating with centerman Jori Lehtera and right wing Vladimir Tarasenko, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Schwartz has missed 49 games since fracturing his left ankle Oct. 23. The line combination should be familiar to Schwartz, who skated with Tarasenko and Lehthera all last season, a unit dubbed the "STL" line. Schwartz's return comes at a time of need for the Blues, who have scored one or fewer goals in five of the last six games. Blues head coach Ken Hitchcock was quick to tap the brakes on Schwartz being a savior or making an immediate impact, but clearly, the team is hopeful for some type of infusion of offense from the 23-year-old forward who's scored 53 goals the last two seasons.

Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Activated, expected to play Friday

Schwartz (ankle) has been activated from injured reserve and is expected to rejoin the lineup for Friday's game against the Panthers. Schwartz's activation certainly makes it seem as though he'll join his teammates on the ice for Friday's contest, but an official confirmation should come closer to the game. If he does return, the 23-year-old winger is expected to slot in alongside Paul Stastny and Vladimir Tarasenko, and he should provide the team with some much needed firepower as they begin inching towards the playoffs.

Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Out Monday, hopeful for weekend return

Schwartz (ankle) remains unready to rejoin the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Jets, but hopes to return during one of the two games on the teams upcoming road trip to Florida, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. Schwartz will have to chances to return in Florida either Friday against the Panthers or Sunday when they take on the Lightning. The team should again update his status as his return draws near, so expect a refreshed update on him as the weekend games close in. When Schwartz does return to the lineup, he's slated to join a line with Paul Stastny and Vladimir Tarasenko.

    Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Out Saturday

Schwartz (ankle) won't play Saturday against the Wild, Andy Strickland of Fox Sports Midwest reports. Head coach Ken Hitchcock told reporters Friday that he's "waiting for Schwartz to tell him he's ready to go," indicating that the talented young winger is likely close to returning to game action. He won't play Saturday, however, meaning his next chance to return to the lineup won't come until Tuesday against Winnipeg. Expect an update on Schwartz's status ahead of St. Louis' matchup with the Jets.

Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Out again Thursday

Schwartz (ankle) will not return to the lineup Thursday against the Sharks, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. Schwartz was expected to receive evaluation Thursday, but he's apparently not healthy enough to give it a go yet. He hasn't been ruled out for Saturday's contest against the Wild, but the team should provide another update the winger's status as the date approaches. When Schwartz does return, he's expected to slot in alongside Paul Stastny and Vladimir Tarasenko.

Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Will not play Tuesday

Schwartz (ankle) will be looked at on Wednesday to see if he's ready to play, Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. This effectively rules him out for Tuesday's contest at Nashville. Schwartz has not played in a game for the Blues since Oct. 20 as he has been recovering from a fractured ankle. The 23-year-old winger notched four assists in seven contests prior to the injury. His next chance to return to action could come Thursday when the Blues host San Jose.

Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Not expected to play Tuesday

Schwartz (ankle) is unlikely to suit up against Nashville on Tuesday, Jeremy Rutherford of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports. Schwartz has been out of the lineup since late-October, missing a total of 45 contests. The winger came into the season with high expectations, having recorded over 60 points in the 2014-15 campaign. The Blues have been succeeding without the 23-year-old, but will become that much more dangerous when he returns to action.

Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Hopes to rejoin team after break

Schwartz (ankle) will stay in St. Louis through the All-Star break, but hopes to rejoin the lineup soon after, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports. "I want to get back as soon as I can. We decided that was best for me. With me hopefully coming back right after the break, it only makes sense. I've got to get back into shape," said Schwartz. Schwartz has been out since fracturing his left ankle in practice Oct. 23, but it appears the absence streak could come to a close soon after the All-Star break. The team should provide another update as the team's first game following the hiatus approaches Feb. 2, but things appear to be trending in the right direction for the 23-year-old winger. He'll look to pick up where he left off in 2014-15, when he notched 63 points (28 goals, 35 assists) in 75 games.

Blues' Jaden Schwartz: Returns to practice Wednesday

Schwartz (ankle) returned to practice Tuesday. Tuesday marked the first time Schwartz has practiced with his teammates since he suffered a fractured ankle on Oct. 23. While his return to practice is certainly encouraging, the 23-year-old winger is still without a definitive timetable for his return to action, and will need to be activated from injured reserve before re-joining the Blues' lineup.
