    • Rangers Release Tallinder From Tryout Offer

News: Henrik Tallinder was released Wednesday from his professional tryout at AHL Hartford, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
Analysis: A rash of injuries on the Rangers' blue line in November prompted the team to bring Henrik Tallinder and Tomas Kaberle in for tryouts, but an opportunity to join the parent club never materialized. With the Rangers now at relative health on defense, Tallinder will leave the organization in pursuit of an opportunity for work elsewhere.
    • Rangers Offer Tallinder Professional Tryout

News: Henrik Tallinder has been given a professional tryout with the Rangers' AHL affiliate, Steve Zipay of Newsday reports.
Analysis: Henrik Tallinder had a tryout with the Maple Leafs earlier in the season, but was released with no contract offer. The Rangers are still without captain Ryan McDonagh (shoulder), so Tallinder could provide them some needed experience on the blue line. Last season with Buffalo, he played 64 games while recording two goals and six assists.
    • Leafs Release Tallinder (Shoulder) From PTO

News: Henrik Tallinder (shoulder) was released from his professional tryout offer with the Maple Leafs on Monday, Mike Brehm of USA Today reports.
Analysis: Henrik Tallinder's hopes of making the Leafs' Opening Night roster came to an end after he separated his shoulder Friday night. Once he gets healthy, the veteran will probably have to settle for an AHL deal.
    • Separated Shoulder For Leaf Tryout Tallinder

News: Henrik Tallinder has been diagnosed with a separated shoulder, reports The Canadian Press.
Analysis: He went shoulder-first into the boards on a hit by the Sabres' Mike Weber, who then landed on top of the defender. The grade of separation is not known, but the injury will surely hinder his chances of making the Buds as a depth defender.
    • Leafs' Tallinder Exits Game With Arm Injury

News: Henrik Tallinder left Friday's preseason game against Buffalo with a left arm injury after Mike Weber knocked him into the boards and is done for the night, SportsNet's David Alter reports.
Analysis: According to eyewitnesses, the injury "didn't look good." If Henrik Tallinder misses significant time the likelihood that the defenseman will claim a roster spot as a seventh defender may be in serious jeopardy.
    • Tallinder Gets Tryout Offer With Maple Leafs

News: Henrik Tallinder signed a professional tryout offer with the Maple Leafs on Thursday, TSN's Bob McKenzie reports.
Analysis: Considering the immense struggles the Maple Leafs had on the back end last season, Henrik Tallinder could have decent odds of claiming an opening night roster spot as a seventh defenseman. He appeared in 64 games with the Sabres last season, scoring two goals and adding eight assists while averaging 19 minutes of ice time per contest.
    • Sabres' Tallinder Back In Thursday

News: Henrik Tallinder (lower body) will be in the lineup Thursday against the Rangers, John Vogl of the Buffalo News reports.
Analysis: Henrik Tallinder missed the previous four games with the injury, but he'll try to end the season on a high note. He has an ugly minus-21 rating on the season, but that's largely a byproduct of playing regularly for the league's worst team.
    • Sabres' Tallinder Could Play Thursday

News: Henrik Tallinder will likely be a game time decision Thursday against the Rangers.
Analysis: The blueliner collected two goals and five assists in 61 games before getting hurt April 1 against the Devils. If Henrik Tallinder is able to draw back into the lineup Thursday, expect him to play a depth role on the Sabres blue line.
    • Sabres' Tallinder Likely Out More Time

News: Coach Ted Nolan said on Sunday that Henrik Tallinder, who's missed the last two games with a lower-body injury, is expected to need more time off.
Analysis: Nolan was talking about forward Drew Stafford being a possibility for Tuesday's game against the Red Wings, then went on to say Henrik Tallinder would probably need more time. That means he's out Sunday and likely Tuesday at the very least, giving him just two more chances after that to get back there before the Sabres' miserable season ends.
    • Sabres' Tallinder Out Friday

News: Henrik Tallinder (lower body) will not play in Friday's game against Detroit.
Analysis: According to The Buffalo News, Henrik Tallinder participated in morning skate but left with an apparent lower-body injury.
