Reds, Ryan Ludwick agree to two-year deal

The Reds have agreed to terms with free-agent outfielder Ryan Ludwick on a two-year contract that will pay him $15 million, CBSSports.com's Jon Heyman reports. Ludwick previously declined a $5 million mutual option for 2013.

The 34-year-old corner defender is coming off a nice rebound season in which he batted .275/.346/.531 for the Reds with 26 homers in 125 games. While the Great American Ball Park is very much a hitter's haven, it's worth noting Ludwick in 2012 put up a strong .856 OPS on the road.

For his career, Ludwick is batting .263/.334/.466 with 143 home runs. With the Cardinals in 2008, Ludwick claimed a Silver Slugger.
