    Fantasy Analysis
The team seems intent on getting Amarista everyday at bats, in the wake of the release of Orlando Hudson. He joined the organization just over two weeks ago in a trade from the Angels, and Padres manager Bud Black told MLB.com before the game that he spoke with Angels’ manager Mike Scioscia to get a feel for what Amarista can do. "The first thing he said was this guy can play six positions, he can feel comfortable with them anywhere, he swings the bat and he has some speed, so that versatility plays much better in the National League," Black said. Amarista was a .312 hitter in the minors with some speed, so consider him a NL-only option.
