Making his spring debut Friday,
"I felt fine going out there and my arm felt good," Lee told MLB.com after the start. "I didn't know how many innings I was going to go from the get-go, so it was one of those things where I was going to keep going until they took me out. I was preparing myself for the third inning."
Lee is optimistic he's close to making his major-league debut.
"I think it's one of those things where I will keep working and continue to get better, and we'll see where it goes," Lee said. "At this moment, I feel like if I continue to throw the ball well like I am capable of, I don't think I'm that far away."
Lee went 10-10 with a 3.22 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 131:35 K:BB ratio in 142 2/3 innings with Double-A Chattanooga last season.
Lee is dealing with a lat injury. If his throwing session went well, there's a chance Lee will appear in games this week.
Lee is dealing with a lat strain, and missed some time early in camp. Lee heads into the season as the team's fourth best prospect according to Baseball America. He has yet to make his major-league debut.
