| Soriano still perfect in save chances: Yankees reliever Rafael Soriano entered Friday's series opener against the A's in the ninth inning with a three-run lead. He gave up a two-out double but was able to strand the runner to secure the 6-3 win. Soriano also struck out two while collecting his fourth save of the season. (Updated 05/26/2012) |

| Soriano has gone a perfect 4 for 4 in save chances thus far and now has 16 strikeouts in 16 1/3 innings. He will continue to see save opportunities while David Robertson is on the DL and could remain the closer in New York even after he returns.
