| De La Cruz an option for spot start: With Chris Narveson (thumb) questionable to start in Monday's doubleheader against the Pirates, Brewers manager Ron Roenicke outlined his options Thursday, hinting that Frankie De La Cruz and Wily Peralta are the two leading options to start if Narveson is still on the DL. "We've got a guy in Triple A that we've talked about bringing up to start that game, or we'll try to do it with what we have, which is probably (Frankie) De La Cruz starting and (Tim) Dillard picking him up, and then trying to fill in with the rest of the guys," Roenicke said. "We're going to try to have (Zack) Greinke go the first (game). If he goes deep, it helps us out a lot." (Updated 08/18/2011) |
