Henry Blanco paired with struggling Mark Buehrle

Blue Jays manager John Gibbons gave a rare start to veteran Henry Blanco behind the plate over J.P. Arencibia Monday with Mark Buehrle starting in Tampa Bay, MLB.com reports.

Gibbons would like to give Blanco a shot to help reverse Buehrle's struggles. Monday was the first time that Blanco caught anyone but R.A. Dickey this season.

"I just wanted to run one game like that and see," Gibbons said. "Mark, it has been a tough go for him, and we'll change up the catchers to see if that does anything. [J.P.'s] not happy, I didn't expect him to be. But it's just something I want to look at tonight."
