Mariners' Bryan Woo: Expected to return Wednesday
Woo (forearm) is expected to start Wednesday on the road against the Guardians, Adam Jude of The Seattle Times reports.
Woo was forced to miss his last scheduled start Tuesday versus the White Sox due to right forearm discomfort, but after a clean MRI, he appears set to return to the mound in Cleveland. The 24-year-old has produced a sparkling 1.07 ERA and 0.53 WHIP while striking out 24 batters over 33.2 innings in six starts this season.

Mariners' Mitch Garver: Hitting bench Sunday
Garver is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rangers.
Garver had started each of the past five games at either designated hitter or catcher, going just 2-for-18 but drawing seven walks over that stretch. The 33-year-old's .646 OPS still represents a more than 200-point downturn from his 2023 mark with the Rangers (.870), but Garver still looks like he'll play frequently against left-handed pitching and fairly regularly against right-handed pitching.

Mariners' Dylan Moore: Drawing fourth straight start

Polanco (hamstring) started at designated hitter in High-A Everett's win over Eugene on Saturday and went 1-for-4 with two strikeouts.
Polanco was lifted for a pinch hitter in the ninth inning, but he got a solid amount of plate appearances in during his first game action of any kind since May 26. The veteran infielder is slated to play with the AquaSox again Sunday before shifting his rehab assignment to Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday, per Ryan Division of The Seattle Times.

Mariners' Tyler Locklear: First career steal in loss
Locklear went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in a loss to the Rangers on Saturday.
The rookie was able to reach safely for the fourth consecutive game despite not getting a hit for the first time in that span, and he parlayed his one trip on the basepaths into his first career big-league steal. Locklear is still having trouble making consistent contact as he acclimates to major-league arms -- he's struck out at a massive 40.0 percent clip in his first 25 plate appearances -- but his impressive body of work at the plate over multiple levels of the minors suggests he has the ability to progressively turn things around in that department.

Mariners' Dominic Canzone: Two hits, steal in win
Canzone went 2-for-4 with one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Rangers.
Canzone got in the lineup for the first time since Wednesday, after the Mariners faced left-handed starters Thursday and Friday. The outfielder was productive Saturday, contributing an RBI single in the third inning as well as his first steal of the season. Over 103 plate appearances, he's posted a middling .207/.282/.435 slash line with six home runs, 11 RBI, 10 runs scored and three doubles. Canzone will typically occupy a corner outfield spot and bat in the bottom third of the order versus right-handers.

Mariners' Cal Raleigh: Notches second steal
Raleigh went 1-for-3 with a walk, one RBI, one stolen base and one run scored in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Rangers.
Raleigh has two steals this year, and they've both come over his last 10 games. In that span, he's gone 8-for-35 (.229) with three extra-base hits and 10 RBI. The catcher is slashing .209/.287/.400 with 12 home runs, 43 RBI and 27 runs scored over 67 contests this year. Raleigh is unlikely to ever hit for a good average, but he has the ability to make an impact with power and run production, especially when hitting in the heart of the order.

Mariners' Julio Rodriguez: Lifts seventh homer
Rodriguez went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Rangers.
Rodriguez has two homers over his last three games and three of his seven long balls this year have come in June. The outfielder is batting .278 (15-for-54) over 14 contests this month, though Saturday was the first game since June 4 in which he didn't strike out. Over 73 games this season, Rodriguez is slashing .267/.317/.361 with 29 RBI, 36 runs scored and 16 stolen bases.

Mariners' Ryne Stanek: Gets final out for save
Stanek allowed a hit but was not charged with a run over one-third of an inning, earning the save in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Rangers.
Eduard Bazardo struggled in the ninth inning after being brought in with a six-run lead. He gave up three runs and Stanek allowed one inherited runner to score before getting Corey Seager on a groundout to end the contest. Stanek is gaining an increasingly notable role in the Mariners' bullpen, having earned four saves over his last six appearances, though he likely got this opportunity because Andres Munoz had pitched the last two days. Stanek is up to seven saves with a 4.00 ERA, 1.33 WHIP and 28:10 K:BB over 27 innings. At this point, the Mariners' closer situation should be considered a committee between Stanek and Munoz, with the latter likely to receive assignments in the highest-leverage spots.

Mariners' Josh Rojas: Strong showing in win
Rojas went 2-for-3 with a home run, two walks, three RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's 7-5 win over the Rangers.
Rojas went 2-for-27 (.074) over his previous 10 games before breaking out of the slump in a big way. He hit a solo shot in the seventh inning and a two-run single in the eighth, providing the Mariners with enough of a cushion to survive the Rangers' late comeback. The homer was Rojas' first since April 28 and his fourth of the season to go with 15 RBI, 26 runs scored, six stolen bases and a .263/.336/.395 slash line over 61 contests. He continues to play in a strong-side platoon role at third base.

Mariners' George Kirby: Earns sixth win
Kirby (6-5) allowed an unearned run on three hits and two walks while striking out six over six innings to earn the win Saturday over the Rangers.
This was Kirby's first time issuing multiple walks since his season debut, as he continues to have some of the best control in the majors. The right-hander has allowed two or fewer runs in each of his last four starts after a pair of five-run outings in mid-May. He's now at a 3.54 ERA, 1.01 WHIP and 84:9 K:BB over 86.1 innings through 15 starts this year. Kirby is projected to make his next start at Miami in a highly favorable matchup.

Mariners' Colt Emerson: Still weeks away
Emerson (foot) is a few weeks away from being cleared for full baseball activities, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Emerson suffered a fractured left foot in May and was initially expected to miss around a month of action. Now three weeks out from the injury, Emerson looks to be headed toward a lengthier absence and could miss a significant portion of July. The 18-year-old has a .441 OBP and is striking out at a 14 percent clip at Single-A Modesto this season.

Mariners' Jorge Polanco: Starting rehab assignment
Polanco (hamstring) is playing in a rehab game Saturday at High-A Everett, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Polanco will remain at Everett for a few games before continuing his rehab at Triple-A Tacoma. The second baseman has been ramping up over the past week and is feeling good enough to begin playing games. Polanco is on track for a late-June return after straining his right hamstring May 26.

Mariners' Jonny Farmelo: Suffers torn ACL
Farmelo (knee) will miss the rest of the season with a torn ACL, Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times reports.
Farmelo is one of the Mariners' top prospects and owned a .264/.398/.421 slash line with 18 steals in 221 plate appearances at Single-A Modesto before the injury. A date for the 19-year-old's surgery hasn't been established but it's likely that Farmelo's recovery will trickle into 2025 activities.

Mariners' Kirby Snead: Outrighted to Triple-A
Snead cleared waivers and was assigned outright to Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday.
Snead was designated for assignment by the Mariners on Tuesday, but he'll now report to Triple-A after going unclaimed on waivers. The left-hander has appeared in 12 contests with Tacoma this season, producing a 2.92 ERA and 0.91 WHIP with 13 strikeouts over 12.1 innings.
