Hicks has now been hit with a no-decision in each of his last three starts despite holding his opponents to two or fewer runs in those outings. Doval walked the tightrope in the top of the ninth inning Friday, loading the bases with one out before inducing a double play to escape the jam while keeping the game scoreless. Patrick Bailey then delivered a walk-off three-run home run to give Doval and the Giants the win. Doval has kept runs off the board in seven of his nine appearances this season, earning four saves with a 3.12 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 13:5 K:BB over 8.2 innings.

The Giants mustered just four singles through eight innings Friday, but Bailey broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the ninth with a 378-foot shot over the wall in right field. The 24-year-old backstop hit just seven homers in 97 games as a rookie last season, but he's well on his way to eclipsing that in 2024 with three long balls through 20 contests. Bailey has been a key offensive piece for San Francisco early in the season with a .297/.365/.516 slash line, five doubles and 10 RBI in addition to the homers.

Cobb was shifted to the 60-day IL on April 20 to give him more time to recover from his multiple ailments. He underwent left hip surgery in the offseason and was progressing through his rehab assignment following spring training, but he has suffered another setback with right shoulder soreness this time. Slater will often play in right field when Mike Yastrzemski is on the bench, but the former's hitting hasn't been strong enough to make much of a fantasy impact.
