Caballero went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a walk Friday against the Mets.

Caballero collected a pair of hits for the second consecutive game and also drew his first walk in 12 starts. • Rays' Harold Ramirez: Tallies three hits

Ramirez went 3-for-5 with a run scored Friday against the Mets.

Ramirez has started to see his playing time slip with righties on the mound, but he hit third in the order with lefty Jose Quintana starting for the Mets. Ramirez took advantage of the opportunity by recording multiple hits for the third time in his last 15 starts. Ramirez has only one home run across 115 plate appearances for the season, but he has 13 runs scored and 10 RBI.

  • Rays' Amed Rosario: Big day against Mets

Rosario went 3-for-5 with two RBI and two runs scored Friday against the Mets.

Rosario hit three singles to record his first multi-hit game since April 22. He's hit only .222 in that span, though he's still struck out at just a 15.8 percent clip and has started nine of the last 10 games. Rosario also has an excellent .309 average on the season with two home runs and three stolen bases across 113 plate appearances.

  • Rays' Jonny DeLuca: Swipes bag in return

DeLuca went 1-for-4 with a run scored, three RBI and a stolen base in Friday's 10-8 win over the Mets.

Getting the start in center field against lefty Jose Quintana and batting eighth in his 2024 debut, DeLuca made a big impact in his return from a hand injury. The 25-year-old figures to handle a short-side platoon role in a Tampa Bay outfield that remains in flux due to Josh Lowe's hamstring strain, and poor starts at the plate for Jose Siri (thigh/suspension) and Randy Arozarena.

  • Rays' Randy Arozarena: On base four times Friday

Arozarena went 1-for-2 with three walks, a solo home run and a second run scored in Friday's 10-8 win over the Mets.

The 29-year-old outfielder has had a brutal start to 2024 that includes what would be a career-high 29.1 percent strikeout rate and a career-low .455 OPS, but Arozarena came through with a solid performance in a wild win. His fourth-inning long ball off Dedniel Nunez was his fourth homer in 32 games to go along with four steals, and Arozarena has contributed a respectable 14 runs and 15 RBI despite his woeful .145/.242/.265 slash line.

  • Rays' Jason Adam: Picks up second save

Adam gave up a run on two hits and struck out one in the ninth inning Friday to record his second save of the season in a 10-8 win over the Mets.

The right-hander has collected saves in back-to-back appearances, but he's looked a bit shaky both times. Adam served up a solo shot to Brett Baty on Friday before giving up a two-out double to Brandon Nimmo that brought the tying run to the plate. Adam's 1.80 ERA, 0.73 WHIP and 13:4 K:BB through 15 innings on the season remain impressive, but with Pete Fairbanks (forearm) set to begin a rehab assignment next week, Adam should return to setup duties before long.

  • Rays' Aaron Civale: Bailed out by offense

Civale escaped with a no-decision Friday in Tampa Bay's 10-8 win over the Mets, coughing up seven runs on six hits and a walk over 4.2 innings. He struck out five.

New York tagged him for three runs in the second inning and four more in the fifth, but Civale still left the mound with the Rays ahead 9-7. The right-hander tossed 52 of 77 pitches for strikes as he allowed five or more runs for the third straight outing. The rough patch has sent his ratios soaring, and Civale will carry a 6.14 ERA, 1.34 WHIP and 39:10 K:BB through 36.2 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home next week against the White Sox.

It's unclear how long his stint in Durham will be, but once Fairbanks is back with the Rays, expect him to reclaim closing duties from Jason Adam and Garrett Cleavinger.

  • Rays' Isaac Paredes: Back in lineup

Paredes (arm) is the designated hitter and batting second for Friday's game against the Mets.

Paredes got the day off Wednesday with some soreness in his arm and body but returns to the Rays lineup in a non-defensive capacity. Considering Friday kicks off a stretch of 19 games in the next 20 days, Paredes' soreness should be monitored but isn't something to be concerned about at the moment.

The 25-year-old batted .300 in 25 plate appearances and walked four times with one strikeout at Durham. He'll immediately step into the lineup Friday, as he is starting in center field and batting eighth versus the Mets.
