As the great Denis Lemieux once explained in the classic Slap Shot, when you go to the penalty box, "you feel shame."

Not so for Detroit Red Wings forwards Steve Ott, who is used to that particular encasement, and Dylan Larkin as they sat for two minutes each during Sunday's preseason game against the Chicago Blackhawks. Especially not with an adorable young fan there to greet them.

As shared by the Red Wings on Instagram, young Lylah was excited to get an up-close look at some players from her favorite team, even if they were put in timeout by the referees.

And when you have seats near the penalty box, you're not going to get much closer to the players, so that was as good a time as any for the young Red Wings fan to take a picture "with" some of the guys. Usually the background would feature a frustrated individual who isn't happy that he is sitting in the box, oblivious to his being about to be frozen in time through someone's camera or smart phone lens.

But it's the preseason. So Ott and Larkin were more than happy to make sure Lylah had a cheerier background for photo that should be much more memorable now. As the photo was snapped, Ott smiled big for the camera and Larkin gave a little more sheepish grin for their fan-friendly photobomb.
