  • Blues' Patrik Berglund: Six points in last six games

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/17/16) Berglund delivered two assists in an overtime win Saturday over Montreal. He has six points (three goals, three assists) in his last six games.

It took him a couple games to get back up to speed, but now Berglund is starting shine. His presence seems to have created a positive influence on a lot of fellow Blues, as his presence adds a big, strong scorer to the team's top-nine. Check the wire. Berglund really could give you some immediate help.

Blues' Patrik Berglund: Boosts offense with two power-play strikes

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/13/16) Berglund scored a pair of power-play goals -- the second of which held up as the game-winner -- in Tuesday's 5-2 win over New Jersey.

After missing the beginning of the season with a shoulder injury, Berglund's looked surprisingly fit since returning, putting up four points in six games thus far. After taking it easy on him in his first game back, the Blues have pretty much thrown Berglund right into the fire, as he's averaging more than 16 minutes of ice time already. He's seeing top-unit power-play time, too, so if Berglund's sitting around on your waiver wire, it's time to make a move.

Blues' Patrik Berglund: Activated from IR, back Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/2/16) Berglund (shoulder) has been activated from injured reserve and will play Saturday night against the Maple Leafs, Tom Timmermann of the St. Louis Post-Distpatch reports.

This will be the season debut for Berglund, who's had trouble with his right shoulder since 2013-14, and required surgery this past August. Berglund is a dual threat in the sense that he can score and set up goals at a decent rate, posting 118 goals and 129 assists in 513 career games, all with the Blues. Berglund's absence gave St. Louis the ability to unleash rookie Robby Fabbri, and it's unclear at this point how the lines will be shuffled now that Berglund is back in the fold, but we suspect he'll be in the group of top-six forwards.

Blues' Patrik Berglund: Expected to make season debut Saturday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/1/16) Berglund (shoulder) is likely to return Saturday, opposing the Maple Leafs on the road, Andrew Allsman of KMOV.com reports.

The Blues have sent winger Jordan Caron to the minors, which paves the way for Berglund to draw into the lineup and make his season debut. Of course, he must officially be activated from injured reserve before that can transpire.

Blues' Patrik Berglund: Cleared for contact

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(12/28/15) Berglund (shoulder) has been cleared to take contact, Lou Korac of NHL.com reports.

While there's no indication of when Berglund will return to the lineup, the fact that he's been cleared for contact certainly moves him closer to game action. The team should continue to provide updates as his return nears.

Berglund picked up an assist and an empty-net goal Thursday in a 4-1 win over the Flames. That's a pair of two-point efforts in the last three games for Berglund, who's had a fairly miserable season overall, with just 24 points to his credit. But hey, maybe he can finish strong and take that momentum forward into the playoffs, then next season.
