  • Devils' Cory Schneider: Gets win after pelted with pucks

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/18/17) Schneider delivered a 40-save, 3-2 win over the Islanders on Saturday night.

Schneider has allowed two or fewer goals in five of his last six starts. His stat line isn't as strong this season as it was last, but he's still delivering solid fantasy value.

Devils' Cory Schneider: Starting Saturday against New York

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/17/17) Schneider will start between the pipes in Saturday's game against the Islanders, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

Schneider has been rock-solid in the month of February, posting a 3-2-1 record with a respectable 2.17 GAA and .933 save percentage over six appearances. The American backstop will look to stay sharp and pick up his 19th win of the campaign in a home matchup with an Islanders club that is 7-12-4 on the road this season.

Devils' Cory Schneider: Gets no help in loss to Ottawa

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/17/17) Schneider played well Thursday, stopping 32 of 34 shots, but he got no assistance from his offense in a 3-0 loss.

Both of the goals he gave up were of the late-period variety, which certainly didn't help the Devils build momentum either, but it's hard to blame the goalie when the team doesn't score. A couple hiccups aside, Schneider has been outstanding over his last eight starts, putting up a 2.14 GAA and .934 save percentage in that span, so he's recaptured his old form; unfortunately for his fantasy owners (not to mention Devils fans), he still struggles to receive offensive support, so the wins don't flow in with regularity.

Devils' Cory Schneider: In net Thursday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/15/17) Schneider will get the starting nod against the Senators on Thursday, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

Schneider will make his ninth straight appearance between the pipes as the Devils welcome the Senators to town. The netminder has performed significantly better at the Prudential Center where he is 12-6-3 with a 2.42 GAA compared to 6-10-5 and 2.89 GAA on the road. This will be the 30-year-old's first outing versus Ottawa this year as he was on the bench for the two teams' previous meeting.

Devils' Cory Schneider: Will tend twine Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(2/13/17) Schneider will be in the crease for Tuesday's contest against Colorado, Andrew Gross of the Record reports.

Schneider has an average .912 save percentage on the season, but in his last six games he's been excellent, with a .933 save percentage and 2.19 GAA. The Avalanche are last in the league with 1.85 goals per game on the road, so Schneider will be in a position to continue his hot streak.

  • April 11, 2015: Devils' Schneider: 24 Saves In Loss
Schneider made 24 saves in Saturday's 3-2 loss to the Panthers. He's had an outstanding statistical season, but wins have been hard to come by (he has eight straight losses to end the season). Still, his 26 wins are the most of his career. His future is bright and his name could be among the league's best in a few short years.
April 7, 2015: Devils' Schneider Saves 36 In Losing Effort
Schneider played well Tuesday against the Rangers, stopping 36 of 39 shots, but ended up with a 4-2 loss.Schneider made quite a few highlight-reel stops in this one, but the Devils were dominated quite thoroughly by the Rangers throughout the game, getting outshot 39-21. This was a much better effort than Schneider's last start, Saturday against these same Rangers, but they both ended in losses. Schneider's now dropped seven straight.
