Coach Todd Nelson described Hendricks as "banged up" and questionable to play Thursday against the Sharks, Derek Van Diest of the Edmonton Sun reports.Hendricks logged 11:34 of ice time in the surprise victory over the Kings, but wasn't able to escape the game with his health intact. The Oilers recalled forward Curtis Hamilton from AHL Oklahoma City on Wednesday, and he'll suit up Thursday if Hendricks can't go.

Hendricks (back) will return to the lineup Thursday against the Kings.Hendricks missed the Oilers' previous three games with the injury, but demonstrated he was healthy at Wednesday's morning skate by taking part in most of the drills with the rest of the team. He's expected to center the club's fourth line Thursday.

Hendricks (back) will travel with the Oilers for their upcoming road trip, Reid Wilkins of 630 CHED radio reports.It isn't clear if Hendricks will be able to suit up for the first game of the Oilers' road trip on Monday against Colorado, but the fact that he is travelling with the team is certainly encouraging news. The Oilers should provide an update on his status prior to Monday's contest against the Avalanche.

Hendricks (back) will not play Friday against the Stars.Hendricks succumbed to the injury in Wednesday's win over the Avalanche, skating just 8:27 before leaving the contest. The winger provides toughness in the Oilers' bottom-six ranks with 205 hits and 76 PIM on the season, but his limited offense and his poor plus/minus rating doesn't make him an appealing fantasy target.
