  • Devils' Jacob Josefson: Activated off injured reserve

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/13/17) The Devils activated Josefson (illness) off injured reserve Friday.

It isn't clear if Josefson will return to the Devils' lineup for Friday's game against the Flames, but the 25-year-old pivot will be available if and when he's called upon. However, with just two assists in 16 games this season, Josefson isn't worth owning in season-long fantasy formats.

Devils' Jacob Josefson: Still out Monday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/9/17) Josefson (illness) will not suit up against the Panthers on Monday, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

Josefson remains on injured reserve and will need to be activated before he can return to the lineup. Since the start of December, the blueliner has appeared in just three contests, in which he averaged a mere 13:37 of ice time. Given the depth for New Jersey down the middle, it is unclear if the 25-year-old will even be in the game-day roster once given the thumbs up to play.

Devils' Jacob Josefson: Moves to IR

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/7/17) Josefson (illness) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Devils play-by-play announcer Matt Loughlin reports.

Between battling a concussions near the tail end of 2016 and this latest illness, Josefson has had a tough go of it this campaign. Even in the 16 games that he's managed to play, the Swede's been delicately managed with the pivot only averaging 11:50 of ice time per contest. Taking his spot on the active roster is defenseman Yohann Auvitu.

Devils' Jacob Josefson: Won't play Friday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/6/17) Josefson (illness) won't be in the lineup for Friday's game against Toronto, Andrew Gross of The Record reports.

Josefson will miss a third consecutive game Friday, but his absence won't impact many fantasy owners' lineups, as his nearly nonexistent offensive production -- two assists in 16 games this season -- keeps him off the fantasy radar in most season-long formats. The Devils should release another update on the 25-year-old pivot's status once he's ready to return to game action.

Devils' Jacob Josefson: Out again Tuesday

by RotoWire Staff | Special to CBSSports.com
(1/3/17) Josefson (illness) will miss his second straight game when the Devils play the Hurricanes on Tuesday.

Josefson provides good bottom-six production for New Jersey, but that doesn't really translate into good fantasy production in the majority of formats. The 25-year-old will have three days to get healthy before the Devils' home game against the Maple Leafs on Friday.
